I'm looking for a really good set of nail varnish for french manicure that can be bought in the UK (or online I guess!). I would like one with quite a pinky rather than orangy base and one that the white isn't too gloopey and that lasts ages and ages without chipping! Anyone know any good brands? |

I've tried Rimmel french ivory and really like it. I paired it with Rimmer's strenghten basecoat which is a pale pink with tiny shimmer in it. I really like this combo. very natual looking. |

Pips,
I really love sally hansen opal pearl shine french manicure kit. The base is a subtle mother of pearl type shine. I have been using this for more than a year and it suits me just fine. With all french manicures I think you will get chipping but for the price you can change or tidy up whenever you want with the kit. Available at Boots. There is another version which I do not like that much; make sure and look for the 'opal" colour on the packet. Other than that. higher end brand OPI from Selfridges.
