Where are these? I hear that they are great! They don't absorb product, work great with foundations including spray-on and spread like a dream ...
But I can't find 'em anywhere?

Anyone have a clue? Rolling Eyes

Where do you live? Have you tried Naimies, in Los Angeles? They have everything. It sounds like you have insiders knowledge of a specialty product, but you don't know where to buy it? Whoever mentioned it to you should be able to direct you to the right source.

On second thought, any special effects and TV/Film makeup supply should have them.

I LOVE Naimies!

They have amazing products there I've never seen anywhere else!

I'm sure they would have those makeup wedges, as well as pro makeup to make full use of them Very Happy

Also, a head's up re: Naimies--what you see there, especially in terms of makeup and hair accessories/supplies, is only the tip of the iceberg. If you don't see something, just ask--they have a 3 floor warehouse of stuff besides their storefront! I've gone in the back to pick out heavy duty bobby pins before--there were hundreds of boxes of them. I was surprised! They are most certain to have your latex sponges.

I love these sponges too. I've thrown out the other brands I had in my cabinet after using the Upstage sponges.
I actually found them at Eckerds Drug store in NJ. Just stocked up while home visiting my family.

I have searched everywhere for these sponges and they just can't be found...even at "drugstore .com" If anyone knows where to find them on the west coast or on the Internet, please, please pass it along. Confused
In the interim I'm just going to buy any non-latex wedge and hopefully it will be the same quality...without all the hype.

beauty fanatic have you tried Cinema Secrets?

I don't know if they are what you are looking for but it looks to be a professional grade sponge.

http://professionalsecrets.stores.yahoo.net/whitmakspon.html

I believe they are in California!

ETA:
Just checked on the package that I have and they are by "Soft Touch". http://www.softtouch.net/
I bought them in Toronto but I see on the package that they are manufactured in Brera California.

See if you can find a theatre supply around, like any college that has a theatre program. That, or Ben Nye - http://www.bennyemakeup.com/.

FOUND THEM!!!
They were @ Long's Drugs. NOt sure if Long's is Nationwide, but I think it's a part of a chain that may be called something else in other parts of the USA.
So far I like the cosmetic wedge; it doesn't absorb the foundation and product so as not to waste it.

kd that's terrific that you were able to find them!

What I do so the makeup is not absorbed into the sponge is put the foundation on the top of my hand and dip the sponge onto that.

Most sponges will absorb any liquid to a certain degree and I found this way helps eliminate most of the problem.

Great idea. I'll give it a try.
