Hi! I am new on this forum and have been reading up on the Jan Marini products and Obagi . Is there anyone that has sensitive, dehydrated and acne skin all at once ? My skin always feels tight all day and my face is full of clogged pores, whiteheads and blackheads . Since my skin is sensitive and dry all products seam to make it worse. Has anyone had this problem fixed? I would be very very grateful of your help. I am 27 years old and have fair/medium skin. Thanks

I have dry, dehydrated skin, and while I don't have a serious acne problem, I get milia and congested pores very, very often, and my chin does break out frequently. So far, I'm seeing really good progress with the Jan Marini bioclear cream. Unlike other exfoliating products I've tried, it isn't drying out my skin, in fact it seems to moisturize. It definitely exfoliates better than just a plain 10% glycolic, and doesn't dry me out like a plain bha product.
I'm a relatively new user-- only about 3 weeks-- so I can't confidently assure you that it's the best thing ever, but I have had no problems and significant progress.
Other maybe relevant thoughts/factors:
-My skin is somewhat sensitive-- I have mild rosacea-- but not supersensitive. I don't often have a catastrophically bad reaction to a product.
-I use the cream version, and it does leave a bit of a waxy film. I imagine that could make it too heavy or clogging for some skins. There is a lotion, which I haven't tried, but that might be worse for the dryness, though I don't know.
-If you have anything that needs to heal, like, ummm, maybe a blemish you misadvisedly squeezed a bit, I think the bioclear can be a bit irritating and slow down healing. |

Thanks for the reply! I have been thinking of getting that cream. I mainly have clogged pores, not pimples, and my skin isn´t super sensitive. I have milia as well, do you use it under your eyes or is that a separate Jan Marini product? What do you use for cleansing? |

I’m not using any special cleansers, just a makeup remover and cetaphil. The bioclear is the only active I’m using for the time being.
I use the bioclear under my eyes occasionally. When I tried using it under my eyes once a day, my skin looked a bit odd--nothing major, just a bit of puffiness, but I think it was too irritating to use that frequently in the eye area. |
