I am always on the search for a body moisturizer which will help my dry skin. I have tried so many products from drugstore brands to expensive concoctions such as "This Works" (for me this didn't work.) My latest, though, is a winner.
It's called Moisture Riser by Hill Dermaceuticals in Sanford, FL. I bought it directly from the company for about $20. The ingredients are: Refined Peanut Oil (really!..but it doesn't smell like peanuts and they say it's safe for those with nut allergies), mineral oil, isopropyl myristate, oleth-2.
To apply, dampen your skin or put it on right out of bath or shower, and then massage a few drops of the oil into your skin. It really does absorb pretty well without feeling too greasy or heavy.
According to the directions:
Repeat the above steps as frequently as needed to maintain soft, hydrated skin. Clinical studies show that Hill Moisture Riser helps add moisture to the skin, even after one application. The more you use it, the more hydrated your skin will become.
They also say it's OK to use on your face, but I haven't tried that. I am concentrating on my dry arms and legs and I'm delighted that it works. My skin is so much softer and definitely more hydrated. For me, this is a miracle.
There is no scent...a plus! It also comes with a separate spray bottle for water, but I found it to be a bother. It was easier to put it on after my bath.
If you have been searching for a good body moisturizer..for very dry skin...this one may work for you too. The price is right..and it came with a little sample bottle as well. You may want to ask CS if they would send a sample for you to try first. |
