Thanks for your info, gals. Now, I am very confused as to which one is "the one" that claims so much raves?
- REWIND & REFIND or
- PROTECT & PERFECT or
- Restore & Renew |
Refine and Rewind == Not the serum
Protect and Perfect AND Restore and Renew == Same serum different countries...THIS is the one that everyone raves about
PP is in the UK while Restore and Renew is for us in the States |

Skinmelon:
Don't worry, both Rewind & Refine and Renew & Restore has very similar ingredients. A couple of months ago, not sure which one is the same as Protect & Perfect, I bought both and did a comparision of the ingredient list. I was wondering why they made 2 serums with such similar ingredients. I used up Rewind and Refine but did not see any improvement. I tossed Renew & Restore in my drawer. Maybe it's time for me to use it now. |

Has anyone actually tried this and seen results? My sister brought it to my attention today after watching the Today Show...she was saying something like, "have you heard of this number 7 stuff" and thanks you all of you at EDS, I said YES INDEED! Now, I'd just like to know if it actually works to reduce wrinkles!!! |

Hannah had a nice review on skinactives.com, including the ingredients that make it "work" and some tips on how to formulate your own version. |

Just saw it on TV last night, like a Nightline show. Hubby asked if I heard about it and I said, "Yes, the Forum had it covered". I would like to find it here in the States to try. |

I watched it last night too, Annie! They said they were going to put it into a 6 month clinical trial. Bet it shows up as a ho-hum product. |

Hi everyone,
I have visited these boards regularly since I discovered them a couple of years ago & during that time have learnt so much from all of your posts, so thank you!
I am situated in the U.K. & have been using the Refine & Rewind for about the last 6 weeks or so, I am on my second bottle.
The Refine & Rewind has very similar ingredients to the Perfect & Protect (called Restore & Renew in the U.S.)
The Refine & Rewind is a richer serum than the P & P & has higher levels of the active ingredient that the P&P contains.
From what I understand, if you are under 40 years old, go for the P&P. If you are over 40, go for the Refine & Rewind.
If you have any more questions, or would like the Refine & Rewind ingredients posting, please let me know & I'll do my best to try to help.

Welcome to the forum!
what do you see from the use of the Refine & Rewind? Does it do what it claims? |

Personally, so far, I have been disappointed with it.
I have really dry & dehydrated, hormonal skin at the best of times, which I thought I had got back in control of. However, about a month into the R&R it started feeling dry & uncomfortable again.
I have had a reduction in the appearance of pore size in certain places, but other than that.....
The t.v. programme did say that it needed to be used regularly for 3/4months before an improvement would be seen.
To be honest, if I hadn't of purchased 3 bottles that were on a 3 4 2 offer, I wouldn't
have purchased again. But I will continue to use my (nearly 2 ) remaining stash, just out of curiosty if it lives up to the hype more than anything else.
I would also be very careful about purchasing this from ebay or else buy from a seller you know & trust. The bottles would be extremely easy to refill as the pump tops just unscrew. |

my little fairy, thanks for your input. Now, I am very unsure of the ebay seller that I ve purchased the Boots item- cos when I asked him for the expiry date, he said there is none on the package. Can check yours, please? if you still keep the box?? TIA! |

I check my package - I bought mine from Target. There is no expire date on the box nor the bottle. But there is a batch no - for example on mine says "1K3", I suppose you can call the 1-800 number to find out what that actually means- what production date that stands. If you are in the US, you can call 1-866-75-Boots. |

My Target has a huge Boots section and display now. Refine and Rewind was sold out of course. |

Do they have the Restore and Renew? If they do you could try that. The Restore and Renew is the serum that everyone is lemming for. If you can score that one you'll be lucky
Here most of the stores have the Refine and Rewind, but the Restore and Renew is the Holy Grail. A couple of the Target stores have a few bottles each. I haven't checked the CVS stores, but I really want the Boots High Light Illuminator but it doesn't seem that stores in the US carry it yet, though it is on the Boots US website. Thus I might venture to a couple CVS stores to check for that. |

Hi Skinmelon
So sorry for the delay in replying. I've not been on the pc that much lately, as we've just got a new puppy last week!
I've been up to check & there is nothing at all on either the boxes or the bottles except the bar code, which is the same for all three of them.
The Refine & Rewind serum is fragrance free & quite thick. I've just tipped a half full bottle upside down & the contents haven't moved.
The Perfect & Protect is also fragrance free & from what I remember quite thick as well, but it doesn't feel as rich on the skin, if that makes sense.
Sorry I can't be of more help. |

I've got to say - I purchased 3 bottles of the stuff - & I agree - it's really not all that great.
There's loads of unsung heroes in the U.S.
I've been using the Beauty without Cruelty Maximum moisture for about a year now. I have to have it shipped over to the U.K. as you can't get it over here.
I've got to say, it's the only thing that has help to balance my hormonal super dry & dehydrated skin. I'd tried everything from Decleor, Elemis, Nuxe, Prescriptives, Philosophy, La Prairie, LIz Earle, & a load more. But the BWC beats them hands down for my skin at least. |

TQ, girls for all your input.
As my first ever purchase of Boots the great have not arrived so I really cannot comment much. But I am really interested as to why it has caused so much hypes and whereby those that have a go at it are not that impressed after all?? Really curious.
Now, girls in this thread who claimed that all the R&R do not live up to its hype compared to other products that they have used. I want to know, what other products are better than Boots R&R? Please comment. |

I just bought the last bottle of Refine and Rewind from Target but now I am wondering if I should take it back. I wouldn't use it, but I was thinking about passing it along to my mom. She doesn't have fine lines, but a few deeper lines that she wants to get rid of. So what's the verdict? Does it work, or should she stick with the Naturderm products I bought her? |

Many of us tried and dont think much of it. At $20 a bottle, really everyone could afford to try and find out for yourself. But if it costs anymore than that, I hope you save the money and dont bother with this one. |

i too am in the UK and the hype here is hysterical - like when kate moss launched her top shop range of clothes. go into any boots store and there's a sign directing you to where to find it,"as seen on tv" and if they have it in stock or not. beauty product junkie that i am, i of course bought a bottle of protect and perfect serum (the goodie bag of freebie no. 7 samples clinched the deal). i've been using it now for a few weeks and while it hasn't "revealed younger looking skin" as it claims, it does leave your skin feeling very smooth. i'm pretty happy with the regime i have for my face, so i've been trialing this on my neck and decolletage and i'm happy with the smooth feel it's given my skin. |
