As titled. I recently developed some red bumps on my face and I found that if I used a glowy foundation, it kinda accentuate the bumps and rashes. hhm...any feedback on this? |

No, I don't think you should use glowy makeup.. perhaps a more matte look will look better on problem skins. Is it the makeup that's causing your skin to breakout? Maybe you should try something more pure (mineral makeup). |

The "glowy" make-up will just accentuate the problems you are trying to hide. A matte look would be better. If you really want some shimmer or glow, I would limit it to you eyes or lips--assuming, of course, that the skin there is healthy looking. |

Actually I was using mineral makeup. I'm trying out the samples of Everyday Minerals and Pure Luxe Minerals. To be honest, I really don't understand why so many ppl rave about mineral makeup. I see no difference to it from my regular powder foundation (Cover FX). Is it the coverage & texture that u like or is it the fact that it contains non harming ingredients? |

For me, the finish of Alima MMU is unlike any other foundation I've used. I finally have the perfect match to my skin and it looks natural without looking powdery, chalky, cakey, or separating on my skin. MMU doesn't work for everyone, but I definitely think it's one of those things everyone should try once even if you end up not liking it.
I personally like the glowy look, but I'm pretty careful about how much "glow" is on my skin. I put on quite a bit, i think, but not enough to accentuate my flaws, but instead to draw away from them. I think a lot of glow can only be pulled off with those with perfect skin. |

I agree with cuddles! Try to draw attention to your eyes or lips by playing them up with something special or dramatic...that way the bumps will be less obvious |

Also the shiny make-up will make light reflect off of the problem area and draw attention to them. If you really want a dewy look, you could use maybe just a blush if the problem areas aren't on your cheeks. |
