Hey Sherri! I copied the links into a new window and can see your pic's now (clicking on the links directly does show them). Do you have a 'macro' setting on your camera (indicated by a little flower symbol)? Your upclose shot is somewhat blurry, though I can see plenty of stitches! Other than a bit of redness and the incision lines, your eyes look GREAT!!! Can't wait to see further updates in the weeks ahead - thanks so much for sharing! |

Hi Amylola - Just highlight the link you want to view in her post and select 'copy' from your Edit menu. Then open up a new window and paste the copied link into the url bar at the top - presto, you should see Sherri's beautiful face and eyes appear! HTH's... |

Hi,
Sorry I managed to muck up posting my pics but couldnt find the instructions as to how to do it. I will try a couple more with this post. The ones I posted were immediately following my surgery so there is a huge improvement each day. If not for my stupidity on the weekend I think my progress would be even better.
I am horrible with gadgets of any kind but tried to get decent pics to help anyone considering the same procedure.
Thanks Lori, for some reason the stitches dont itch nor was their any pain involved .
The purple that you see in the pics is not bruising but the marker he used to draw where he was cutting. It is hard to get off when you cant scrub at your eyes.
Hugs

WOW, Sherri ... you look awesome! In your before picture your eyes are MUCH like mine and I can't even IMAGINE having eyelids that show!
Tell me ... are you pleased with your results? |

Yes I am thrilled with my results. Up until about seven years ago I always had nice lids. It was a gradually worsening thing for me until they reached the point where my upper left lid was literally in my line of vision at times. Doctors were sure it was a lymphatic or allergy issue with me but all the tests never backed it up.
It took me four years to finally decide to get them fixed and was not something I took lightly. I had never had surgery of any kind. The before pics really didnt show just how bad they were. He had taken some really good ones I would love to be able to post.

Huh ... I just genetically have "no lids." I like the deep set eyes look, but at 52 I've turned it into an art form! Now I want that blasted Dermaroller AND the surgery you had!!!
I'm go glad you're thrilled ... it's just fabulous to look in the mirror and think, "hey, not bad!" let alone "WOW!" |

Wow Sherri! Your eyes look fab!!! Looking at your results (and your speed of recovery), I am more and more convinced that this is something I'll have to do at some point.
Take care and keep those progress picks coming!
Hugs, R. |

You must be delighted with the results! Definitely worth it, I'd say.
You looked great before, but there is a definite difference in the amount of lid showing now. |

Hi,
Okay here is the last pic I am posting until I am completely healed. This was this morning one week from the day of my surgery. It actually looks much better in person than in the pics. I am taking these pics with the camera about three inches from my face and using zoom to show as much detail as possible.
Hugs and thanks again for all your support.

Not even botox would hold off the wrinkles from having your face fall off in fits of giggles with the pair of them.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, and especially for sharing your pictures. I want to have this surgery done but I've been too scared. You make it look so easy! Because of you, I now have the courage to do it. Now, it's just a matter of the MONEY . . . |

Thanks seeking, I am glad my experience helped you to decide. In my case it truly was super easy . I had myself worried sick the day of surgery. I came sooooooooo close to cancelling the day before even I am surprised I actually did it.
I put eye makeup on today but still find there is a bit of swelling so my eyes look kinda sleepy. My next appt with my ps is on saturday and I am anxious to ask him how much longer they will keep the sleepy look.
