What is the difference between their veena silk powder and veena veil finishing powder? Which would be best the remove the oily shine?
Also, I can't seem to find the 'clear radiance' people have been mentioning; what is it? |

Ignore the last post, did some searching and someone on the forum said:
"The paste works as a treatment and primer and then the actual primer can be used for both before and after foundation. If I need something later in the day to take away the oilies, I use the primer and it works really well."
Also gave in and orderded Mary's silken pearl primer in the sweet orange (i love citrus!) |

The finishing powder Clear Radiance has had the name changed to Soft Radiance. Same formula; Kim had changed the names of some products instead of using names that were similar to another company.
The Silk powder is a rather new finishing powder. I have not tried it yet. I do have Clear Radiance (bought during the major clearance sale of old packaging) and really like it. Nice glow but not glitterly/sparkly. I am quite fair with sensitive oily skin. I am 46. I like Kim's Veena Velvet foundation forumla. |

oooh! I saw the soft radiance, but couldn't find the 'clear radiance' people had been mentioning and the drop down menu had both so I thought they were different things. Thanks for the clarification!
I also emailed them asking the difference, and here is what Kathy said:
"Hi Hanna,
Pure Silk Finishing Powder
Do you need a two-in-one powder that can be used as both a priming powder and finishing powder? Then you must try our Pure Silk. It contains 100% silk powder and does such a great job drawing excess oil away from the skin that facial shine becomes a thing of the past causing you to need less touch ups throughout the day!
Veena Veil Finishing Powder
Does your oily skin prevent you from experiencing a soft, fresh look? Are you ready to experience a shine-free look? Our Veena Veil locks in moisture, thus reducing the appearance of oily skin.
I would personally suggest the Veena Silk Veil! That is a combination of both powders in one. I have very oily skin and I was using the Veena Veil but when Kim created this VSV I was in love! Again, it is the best of both powders together in one. It has a wonderful feeling on the skin. I think it is the best for oily skin. Hope this helps and please let me know what you think when you receive your Try Me Kit. Have a great weekend.
Kathy : ) " |
