Target does not have the No7 protect & perfect, Boots only sells that in the U.K., The Today Show had a clip of it yesterday.

the attached link has the thread in which 1 of our members emailed Boots and found in fact it is being sold here in the US under a different name.

'This was part of my actual question to the Boots US contact person in my email today:

Is the No7 Refine & Rewind purchased at Target the same product by the name No7 Protect & Perfect Beauty that is purchased in the UK?

Answer:

Yes it is! Exactly the same!'

If in fact this information is incorrect, I apologize for passing it on.

Candy you are right.

This is from the boots website:

No7 Protect & Perfect was shown scientifically to repair photo-aged skin and improve the fine wrinkles associated with photo-ageing. No7 Protect & Perfect’s affect on collagen production is on par with the performance of retinoic-acid or Tretinoin - prescription drugs used to treat severe sun damage of the skin!

The good news is that Boots sells an equivalent product the US called No7 Restore & Renew Beauty Serum, which is a similar intensive serum which, in tests carried out by Boots in real-use conditions on their own volunteers, produced similarly strong results. Available in the US at both Target.com and Target stores nationwide, or at CVS.com and select CVS/pharmacy stores, while stocks last.

ARGH! What did I DO!!!!

Brick wall Brick wall Brick wall Brick wall Brick wall

I was just at Target to get travel stuff for my trip to NYC next Wednesday. I actually forgot about this thread until I was walking by the beauty aisle and spotted the Boots display. All the Restore and Renew were out...except there was one box tucked in behind all the Refine and Rewind serum. I grabbed it and before I knew it I bought it. GOSH DEEEM IT...I don't NEEED IT!
WHY THE HECK DID I BUY IT?

Well...I might try it. I don't know. I should go back and return it but at the same time I don't want to. HOW SAD AM I?
A true product junkie who caved to an impulse buy.

Oy vey.

I can't find the ingredient listing for the UK version. I'll keep trying though.

I actually emailed them and get the response was that Restore and Renew is the one. Rather confusing, isn't it.

I don't understand why they need to call it something different...why they just can't keep the same name.

It happens a lot between the US and UK (and rest of the world actually). I first noticed it with books...specifically Harry Potter (I'm 27 and love Harry Potter Laughing ). It has a different title in the US than in the UK.

From a skincare blog review of Boots No7 Restore and Renew:

The only difference in the U.K. product vs. the U.S. product is a slight molecular variation due to FDA regulations, but all the evidence to date shows that they are equivalent in their activity.

So I finally found the difference in formulations for the Protect and Perfect (UK) and the Restore and Renew (US).

All the ingredients are the same except the last one. For the Protect and Perfect UK serum, the one that started all the hype, the last ingredient is Palmitoyl pentapeptide-3

For the Restore and Renew, it does not have this last ingredient, instead it has palmitoyl oligopeptide and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-3

So it is a difference of molecules, but there is a difference. I don't know if it matters, as it's the very last ingredients, but this is the ONLY difference.

I found the ingredients printed off the box of the Protect and Perfect and compared it with my own box of Restore and Renew. The ingredient in the UK version is Matrixyl.
