Anyone?

I tried in HA and in rosehip oil, no success.
Thanks for any tips!

Hi avalange,

I think you have to dissolve MSM in a water medium. and from the recipes i have seen, heated water works best:
http://recipes.herbalsoapsbyrj.com/recipes/category.php?CID=48

I haven't worked with it personally though.

Avalange

I did managed to dissolve the MSM in hot water but I found it crystallized.
As I got it to help with my broken caps I tried adding it a small amount at a time and constant stirring to 'Skin Doctors capillary clear' and it is perfect.
The capillary clear is a creamy consistency.

I cannot remember who it was suggested MSM and milk thistle for thread veins but I am sure they mentioned on their post what they dissolve the MSM in.

Hi lori,

they said they dissolved it in oil, so that's why I am so confused!

maybe if you gently warm the oil that would help.

I do remember before I managed to get it to dissolve in the cream that I started looking for a liquid version of MSM. Way more expensive than the powder.

I am just glad that it dissolved in my cream because I hopefully have a top notch cap zapper now.

avalange, that was luckylouie who started that thread. She said the MSM was water-soluble, but it was the the milk thistle that required an oil-based solvent.

I'm puzzled as to why you can't dissolve the MSM in HA, because that's exactly what I did! I just added a small amount of MSM right into my HA bottle, and stirred it around a bit. I also take the MSM internally, so I dissolve it quite easily every morning in my drinking water (which I have been quite diligent about, thanks to you!).

If your MSM is not dissolving in water easily, I wonder if it has fillers? What brand do you use?

Avalange,
MSM is water soluble. Also, it makes a huge
difference as to the % you want to use and whether or not it will crystallize. Smile I use a rather
potent strength for my body pains and have to also use 190 proof alcohol to keep it dissolved and for better absorbtion as well...

Hi Markey!

So if I use a little hot water and dissolve the crystals in it, and then dissolve some silymarin in some rosehip oil, add some of your moisturizing gel, I'll be good to go? So sorry, I'm new to this, but I understand the diff between water and oil soluble... thanks so much!

Hi there!
Yes, as long as you don't mix all three in one container but in the palm of your hand to emulsify. Once you add the oil blend to the water blend and Moisturizing Gel, IF, in combination together - it would need a preservative as well as an emulsifier. You
could mix them, use a preservative and shake
well before each use as well to avoid an emulsifier.
Hope that helps??
You can always e-mail me with questions
assuming I will get it with all the e-mail
zigzags in cyber space these days. Smile
Take care,
Markey

Thanks, Markey!

I need to go buy itty bitty containers now, since I don't have preservatives or emulsifiers. But I certainly can mix everything in the palm of my hand, that's what I do already! And then when i move back to the US, I'll totally hit you up for the more professional stuff Smile

Hi avalange,

I was able to dissolve my MSM powder in room temp water with no problems. I add approx 1 tsp to .75 oz of water in a mister and shake. (I just started doing this a couple of weeks ago and it has helped calm my skin.) What brand of MSM are you using?

So the stuff I got from gow you can take internally too? Sorry if it is a dumb question, but I have just been putting it on my face with emo oil in the palm of my face. It would be easier to dissolve if I added some ha?
