Hi folks, so I've been following the Meroxyl coverage somewhat, both on the forums and elsewhere, and I'm a little confused by something. The FDA recently approved Meroxyl for US use, but L'Oreal holds the patent - does that mean that only L'Oreal brand products will be allowed to contain meroxyl? I'd like to give it a try, as it seems like one of the first chemical sunscreens that doesn't totally freak me out, but I'm very much into natural products as I'm quite sensitive to a lot of ingredients, and I doubt L'Oreal would make a natural enough sunscreen for my taste. I'm wondering if other manufacturers will be able to use this ingredient, or if it will be L'Oreal specific. Any info you folks have would be most welcome!
And though it's not available in the USA, I'd love the same sort of info for Tinosorb, since I don't mind ordering internationally if the right product shows up! |
