I must start with a bit of a rant so please bear with me!
I live two and a hlf hours away from anywhere that sells LM and on my way home from a mini break I called into the Trafford Centre at Manchester yesterday and headed straight to Selfridges to FINALLY get my hands on the LM MMU! Now, last time I tested it the SA assured me I was tender rose. However, when we were at the till and the TR was sold out she suggested I try real sand, which two minutes earlier she'd told me would be 'far too yellow'. Needless to say this put me off and I left empty handed. Yesterday the SA assured me I was rich vanilla. I was about to purchase it and guess what? They were out of stock. I headed up to Space NK to see if they had any and guess what? The girl there assured me I was real sand! She took off the make up that I had on and put the RS on me and I think/hope it's the best match. I purchased it anyway. I actually thought I'd be tender rose or real sand. Anyway, I later went back to Selfridges as there was an offer at LM where you got a free full sized TM when you spent over £100. As I hadn't bought anything else whilst I'd been away I decided to treat myself (and I am desperatley in need of base products). So I came away with the silk creme foundation, secret camoflage, loose powder, foundation sponges, blusher and free TM Shock
I am hoping all the products work out for me and I will write reviews as I test them all.
What I would like to say is that I wish the SA would check the stock of products before testing them on you and selling them, then dissapointing you at the till. The silk creme foundation was out of stock in the colour I wanted so I went for the next colour up (bamboo beige) but it looked fine when she tested it, and I can always mix it with the tm. But you get my drift don't you?!
Off to play with my new make up now.... Very Happy

It's so fun to play w/ makeup isn't it?!!! I'd like to try her pressed powder for midday touch ups. All her products seem to be top quality.

Oh, I had one of those the other day too. I got three shadows, two liners, secret brightener, one mineral shadow and (another) liner brush.

I have to say, though, that you always have to take what they say with a grain of salt. I told her that I've had a lot of trouble finding a mineral powder that didn't look heavy on me and accentuated my pores. She asured me that this one was different. When she gave me the mirror, I was shocked that she could look at that application and say it looked ok. Not only was it a shade too dark, my pores where the size of craters!

On a whole, I am very happy with LM makeup. I also use the tinted moisturizer and pressed powder.

I know the feeling. Are they really so desperate to sell products?! I don't think you can really tell how something's going to work out for you until you get home and apply it in your normal way.
I used my silk creme foundation, secret camoflage, loose powder and blusher today and I'm pleased to say so far I love it! I bought the foundation sponges and applied it with one of those. It blends in well (which I'm releived about as it wasn't the colour I originally went for) and the SC is quite impressive. I'll do a full review after a few weeks of use, as I'm scared to temp fate and have it all go wrong! Looking forward to trying out the mmu next, but will have to wait until I purchase a new kabuki. Also, I'm glad to know I'm not alone in splashing the cash at the make up counter Laughing

My standard excuse is "I have to see how it wears for the rest of the day before I purchase it"

Works pretty well so far.
