I am eager to try making carekates Vit C serum. I am skeptical about buying the right form of L ascorbic acid because I know it spoils easily. From what I know, if the product has changed color it is no longer any good. But i imagine theres more too it. Also.. Can I just buy this stuff at a CVS?
Thanks! |

I think your best bet is to buy L ascorbic acid online from a supplier like gardenofwisdom.com or skinactives.com where they specialize in miy ingredients.
If you can get pure L ascorbic acid with no additives in it at the drug store, that's perfect.
The L ascorbic acid I get is powder - it doesn't spoil. After it's added to water - or whatever you mix it in - then keep it refrigerated and it's good for a couple of weeks. After that it loses potency. |
