Hi,
I'm in Prague right now for another 6 days, I came here 4 weeks ago for school so I haven't had time to go shopping yet but since it's only a week left, I think it's time for shopping!
Have anyone been to Prague? I'd like to ask of there's any suggestions of what should I get, (or where to get cheap skincare/makeup ?)
Thanks a lot! |

Christine, I wouldn't buy cheap skin care/make up in CR - because it'd be a crap. There is no czech-made skin care or make up worth to buy and the international brands are not cheaper than anywhere else in Europe.
I'd rather buy food ("Karlovarske oblatky" - a sort of wafers, very fine, or "Becherovka" - a herb liqueur).
(I lived in the CR, and during the recent few years went there for business quite often since I'm based in Vienna, Austria (I speak czech)). |

I agree I wouldent get any chech made makeup or skincare. But I definetly recommend going to a spa, they are really cheap. |

Thanks a lot!
I actually have a waxing appointment today
Yeah.. I figured out that the skincare is very expensive here .. I guess because of the 19% tax
lin23, i bought those waffers yesterday and they are good!! I'm going back to get more of it for my friends, I never known that those are traditional czech snack. |

Oh yes, they started to make them in the spa-region around Karlsbad some 200 years ago. Have you noticed that they exist in several flavours : classic, hazelnut, chocolate, cacao...
Enjoy ! |

Shucks! I should've gone to a spa when I was in Prague. Of course, I was only there a few days though.
Have fun Christine! (I envy you... I love the CR and would love to go back there again... I would also love to speak the language!) |
