I recently did a retinol peel and love the results though i totally botched up the directions and ended up in pain for days and peeled deeper than i was supposed to, i think it was worth it.
yesterday, when looking in the mirror noticed a freckle/bit of melasma on my right cheek. i never had that before. I am not sure how it was caused since i was careful to avoid the sun and flourescent lighting and didn't wear SS during the peel as directed. Once i was done peeling, i did wear SS. I am thinking i might need a stronger SS for after peels since my current ones do not have high PPD protection.
i am trying to make the freckle go away with lighteners, so i will report back, but i have to say it's a little horrifying.

Do you mind me asking what product you used and how long you left it on. I have never heard of a retinol peel. I learn something new everyday regarding face/body care. |

Hi Frodo,
I am using perfect complexion's apeel light-night. Julie, the owner, says the apeel series are retinoid peels.
I learn everything new everyday also. just last year i had no idea what everyone was talkig about when they said "retin-a" or "retinol". i love the internet .
