Are they reliable?
I would like to buy hair products from any of them.
Diamondbeauty
HB hairshop (from the Nederlands)
Hqhair
Beautybay
Any feedback good or bad will be appreciated.
Thanks |

lbianca which products are you looking for?
I have used StrawberryNet for several years and they carry some great hair products and their prices especially compared to Cad prices have been great! |

Hi Ibianca
I've only purchased from hqhair once with no problems. Fast delivery, reasonable delivery charges and the product was as decribed.
However, their prices are significantly higher than other online stores |

I want to buy Kerastase products
I think that HB hairstore seems to be the cheapest (the one from Holland). I'm most interested to know how reliable they all are.
Thanks for the replies |

I had probably my worst online shopping experience ever with HQHair. Think I did a rant about it in the Lounge once so won’t repeat it in case people think I’m a nutter ... who me?
Seems a lot of people here buy from them though with no problems, so maybe I was unlucky.
I have however happily bought Kerastase products from strawberrynet (among many other things), although I don’t know how the prices compare with the sites you mentioned? |

appletini, can you tell me what your bad experience was? If you don't want to do it here then you can send me a private message or link to your posts about it
Thanks for the reply... |

lbianca I have bought Kerastase from Strawberrynet. I use their Oleo Relax serum, the Reflection and Resistance lines.
I don't know where you live but the Cad. prices were at least $20.00 more per item than they were with SN. They also pay all duties and customs fee upon receipt of the invoice.
The haircare items are listed under L'Oreal skincare on the SN website. |

This was my one and only order from HQHair.
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=14886
I ordered quite a few skincare products, which were fine, and a T3 hair iron, which was not, and they refused to replace it or refund.
I'd NEVER buy from them again, but lots of members here seem to do it with no problems. |

I bought once (dec 2006) from skinstore and had a nightmare! I never received my package and it took 5 months to get my money back.
I'm not saying they are a bad store. Clearly, many buy from them and are very satisfied but they don't offer insured and trackable shipping for international customers and it's very easy to have a package lost or stolen and the customer can't prove it in any way. I was also pissed by their customer service because I had to practically beg for my money back. I waited for that miserable package for almost 2 months before I asked for my money back. |

I've been lucky with HQHair, thankfully. If you do order with them, then be sure to use the code "beautybible" for a 10% discount. |

In situations like this, can you go back to your credit card company if you cannot get a satisfactory answer from the seller? Did anyone ever resort back to CC company? |

Well, I wanted to wait and see what happens. I thought maybe it was the postoffice's fault. I actually don't doubt that they did send it but it pissed me off that they didn't even give me the option to pay more and have it insured and trackable. It's very easy to steal a package that isn't insured and trackable and noone will be the wiser. I'm sure that people who works in airports and post offices know that.
As for talking to the credit card company, I tried it once when a different package was being delayed and the customer service of that shop wasn't replying and they didn't want to cancel "without approval from the seller". Anyway, in the skinstore transaction I paid with paypal.
Either way, my lesson learned is buy from reliable sellers only and always have it shipped with insured/trackable/hand delivered mail even if it costs twice as much. I've never had any problems with that. |

I'm sorry to hear about all the problems you had with them. I'm always a bit nervous when I buy Online (from anyone). So far, I've never had any problems... let's hope it's stays that way. |

These are good too:
lookfantastic.com
Slapiton.tv (not .com) has the best prices for Kerastase, even with shipping. |
