I have some 88% lactic acid solution that I got from The Personal Formulator and would like to use to make a decent lower percentage lactic acid solution, but I found their forum is closed and thus can't find a decent recipe!
I have done a few searches for DIY lactic acid on EDS using all search functions (basic and advanced) and can't find any recipes using a solution base (base as in a foundation for the weaker acid, not alkaline) here, either.
Does anyone have a decent recipe they'd like to share?
Thanks in advance from an EDS newbie! |

I have some from the TPF also. I use it straight from the bottle....I apply it with a cotton ball. I never leave it on more than 3 minutes. I makes my face lightly peel within 2 days. Have you thought about using it that way?? |

Whoa, Chrissie! You are much braver than I am!
No, I really only want to use my DIY acid solution on my body (not my face) and I have to say I would never consider using an alpha hydroxy at that strength for any length of time...no matter how short. I also don't want to peel, merely exfoliate, albeit better than with a loofah or something like that.
But thanks for the suggestion. I guess I'll figure something out. |
