I hate my out-of-control wavy asian hair and don't want to flat iron all the time. So I found this stylist who does Chi Transformation treatments for $250, which sounds pretty reasonable.
If anybody has done this on colored hair and had good/bad experiences would post, I would be very grateful. I've heard horror stories about chemical straightening, but am not sure this is quite the same thing. It's supposed to last 6-9 months and you only retreat the new growth.
Here is a website with some before/after pics:

It doesn't look as straight and smooth as the Japanese straightening system like Yuko. How is it otherwise different from Yuko? |

I did Japanese straightening a couple times. My hair is not curly to begin with but the straightening made my hair just straight straight and look shinier. I loved it but just remember don't do pony tail within your first week of straightening, if will leave semi-permanent marks to your hair. |

I've been wanting to try straightening but my hair just grows so fast I don't want to spend the money to get it done. I would be interested in how the CHI system is different than the Japanese method though. |
