I am sure there are threads out there in regards to mineral bronzers. I love u glo girl's bronzer in sunblushed. Unfortunatley they are all out of stock, and I have none left. I bought BE Faux Tan, and I hate it. It is too dark for my pale skin, and I don't like the shimmer in it. I am looking for something matte that would be good for fair skin. I am reluctant to go out and try another brand without getting some feedback from here. If anyone knows of a product similar to what I am using, or one that goes above and beyond it..I would really appreciate your help!
Thanks

Hello Laura! Isn't it frustrating when you can't get a product that you love? I would definitely recommend trying the lightest color of Alima's Satin Matte blush as it was made with porcelain princesses like us in mind!^-^ It's matte, and very natural--- not orange at all. I have the full size and I like it very much--- it's probably the best matte bronzer I've ever used. You can order a really generous sample for just $1 too, so it's a nice way to try before investing in the full size! (That being said, if you ever DO decide to try something with a little bit of shimmer, I can't recommend Too Faced's Pink Leopard bronzer highly enough--- it's a light peachy bronzer with shimmer and perfect for fair ladies!)

Hey LJ, not strictly mineral, but I use Dr. Hauschka's pressed bronzer. It's a lovely formulation [contains silk and rose petals] and not shimmery at all. I have a fairly light complexion and don't find this to be too obvious at all. After applying my MMU, I brush a tad under cheekbones, under the orbital bone and right alongside the bride of my nose to make everything "pop".

Unfortunately, I don't know that you can find a sample of this anywhere.

Good luck!

Monave has some very nice matte bronzers. Here's their description for what I use - Gran Marnier:

"For the lightest skin tones that have never been able to wear bronzers before. Matte and very subtle".

A sample is only $1.00

LJ you might also want to check out Pure Luxe's "Beach Babe" bronzer, it's not shimmery and is very subtle for fair skinned people. You can get a sample first ($1.00) to try it out.

Thanks for all your help! I am going to go sample crazy and try a sample from each brand. I am sure one will end up working out for me.

Hey Liz, can you tell me the exact name of the blush/bronzer that you like from Alima? I want to make sure that I get the right one!

Sure, bren! It's Satin Matte Bronzer in Maracaibo, which is the lightest bronze color. Then I follow it up with a pop of Sugar Rose blush on the apples of my cheeks. HTH!

Thanks and while I still have your attention Laughing : can I ask where you apply your bronzer? Do you do the 'where the sun naturally hits areas - bridge of nose, tops of cheekbones, chin, etc or do you use it more as a contour under the apples of the cheeks?

Bren- It depends on the bronzer, actually. With a matte one I generally use it to contour my cheekbones, with a little on my forehead and bridge of nose for good measure. However, if I use a sparkly one like the Pink Leopard, I just use it in place of blush. HTH!

Thanks for the quick response!

I just ordered the matte one that you recommended. Just in case others are looking for it, it is under Satin Matte Bronzers. (Your earliest post said 'Satin Matte Blushes'; that's why I checked in with you about the exact shade - there are a gazillion blushes to pick from and I couldn't figure out which one was "the lightest one". NOW I get it! Laughing Laughing Laughing

Can't wait to get it and try it out. It is SO hard finding a bronzer for my fair, freckled Irish skin!!
