My oily skin is less oily but would like something to use over my MMU or Liquid MMU to blot surface oil. Would like something with no color so that it will not change my MMU color and blotting papers that I have tried removed my oil and my MMU and my concealer with it too. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Very Happy

I have heard that Mac Primer is great for oily skin:

Quote:
M·A·C Prep + Prime Skin An ultra-fluid lotion formulated with special-effect silicones. Calms and soothes the skin, blots away excess oil, and evens out skin redness. Improves the laydown and application of foundation or powder.

How about Jurlique silk powder? I actually found that it looks whitish on my skin but maybe it'll work for you since you;re also wearing bronzer.

I agree with Agent OO-CAT, Jurlique silk powder may help.

Is silk better than the pearl powder? Can I use the silk powder to set my liquid foundation also?

I have to third the Jurlique Silk Powder. I haven't tried pearl powder much (I have some silk+pearl powder but I love the Jurlique so much that I rarely stray from it.) I find that when I use it, I don't need to blot or repowder ALL DAY, which is a miracle for me during oily times. There have only been a couple days this summer when my Jurlique didn't hold up 100%, and I'm pretty sure it was because I sweated it off in the heat. Too bad they don't make Jurlique Blotting Papers, I'd buy those in a heartbeat.

The only blotting papers I've tried are Crabtree and Evelyn, The Body Shop beige ones (probably discontinued now, as this was years ago), and Burt's Bees Wings of Love. Of the three I actually liked the Crabtree and Evelyn ones best, though I bought those YEARS ago before I was such an ingredient snob, and I'd probably be horrified now to learn what's in them (if they even still make them). And the Burt's Bees, which are probably the most recent and thus the least likely to have been discontinued, were crappy - felt almost like cornstarch, not enough powder on the paper, and left a whitish cast (and I'm very fair so if it made ME look white, I hate to think what a "normal" skin tone would look like!) sooo... not sure any of those really help, but if C&E still makes theirs, I'd recommend giving them a try!

Thanks for the advice about the blotting papers too. Looks like the Jurlique Silk Powder is on my list of things to order!

I really like the Clean and Clear blotting sheets (they're not paper, they seem to be some kind of plastic?). They're cheap and do an excellent job of soaking up excess oil. They don't have any powder on them, but I prefer to have my blotting sheets blot and my powders for powder Smile
