hey im back to bring up my skin problem again with the thinning problem i had mentioned before in an earlier post relating to the showing broken capillaries. i was just wondering if perhaps mal nutrition or lack of protein, or whatever it may be, could very well be contributing to my healing problems, the lack of healing of skin.
thanks

Well, I'm no doctor but I do see a difference in my skin when I eat crappy foods vs. when I eat properly. I also see a difference when I start drinking more water. So I think that mal nutrition could be linked (but, again, this is just my personal opinion). Btw, I always see quite a big difference in my hair when I don't eat well.

I get really moody, grumpy and tired if I don't eat well so if those are the obvious symptoms, as well as crap skin and hair, god knows what its doing below the surface where you don't notice

You can be mal nourished even when you eat loads, if its the wrong type of food it don't do nothin' for ya!! Rolling Eyes tastes good though Smile

I have broken veins too though on my legs and they can be hereditary, they defiantly are for me because my mums got loads and she eats really well all her life.......unlike me!!

I've heard vit k cream helps with them, never tired it though

Sorry for waffling on I love talking about nutrition!! xxx

as for supplements that help with skin repair: vitamin E, evening primrose oil, coenzyme 10, omega 3 fatty acids. they all help with skin, hair, and circulation which could also be the problem with broken cappilaries.

I have heard good things about Horse Chesnut herb in capsule form being good for veins, and Gingko for circulation.
