There's a lot that can cause this:
Did you apply it to a completely clean face? If not, it might have interacted badly with another product (e.g., sunscreen).
Did you just exercise or take a shower, sauna, etc.? If so, your pores might have been more open than normal, allowing too much of the product to penetrate.
Have you started any new medications or supplements lately? They might cause sensitivity.
Have you started any other skin care actives that might have changed skin sensitivity? (e.g., Retin-A, copper peptides, etc.)
Could the product have expired and gone bad?
In any case, I agree with flitcraft about being careful for several weeks because your skin may be sensitive/over-reactive for awhile. It's happened to me a couple of times. |
