Years ago I used Mavala Eye-Lite eye drops and all I can remember is the solution was blue (!)--does it REALLY get the red out and make the whites of your eyes pop? Daily eye strain (reading computer screens, et al) makes my eyes very red and irritated looking. I've been using Clear Eyes ACR and it beats many other OTC drugstore products I've tried, but it doesn't last very long. I wish I could find a product that would get the red out while also *nourishing* and *rejuvenating* the eyes. Anyone know if there's such a product out there?

well sleep is good Very Happy , or sunglasses Cool , but my personal fave is green tea teabags chilled in the fridge and then soaked in witch hazel. It may not get rid of the redeye, but your eyes will thank you for the rest!

Thanks, guapagirl. Unfortunately my eyes are at their worst upon arising from an ample night's sleep (how ironic). Unfortunately my morning schedule doesn't allow time for the tea bag thingie as I'm rushing around trying to get my act together for work. You see why drops are a working woman's answer to eyes that look like road maps, lol! I figure there's got to be a brand of eye drops that also nourish and support the eyes while getting the red out. Could it be Mavala EyeBrite or am I just dreaming? I've tried naturopathic brands at health food stores, but they're pretty lame.

If you want something natural, try eating a handful of lycii (lychee) berries each day. These are called wolfberries, Gou Qi Zi (chinese name) and probably a couple other names at least.
I buy mine dried from the herbalist. Makes your eyes sparkle and can be very delicious too. If your herb store doesn't carry them, try a Chinese herbalist.
I'd give it about a month to see results. Smile
I've heard about the Mavala Eyebrite but unfortunately it's a disaster for people who wear contacts...

I have the same problem and I used to use optrex clear blue or something. Anyway I stopped using it as I heard it actually made red eyes worse after a time. Crying or Very sad

I am now a bit worried about them as thats the last thing we want!!

Has anyone heard the same thing?

I've got the blue Mavala drops, which are great for getting rid of redness and making eyes fresh and sparkly. However, there has been a post before (I think it might have been by Thoughtcrime) that explained why long term use is not good (because of a particular ingredient in Mavala and also some other eye drops). Do a search for "Mavala eyes" and see what you come up with it. It was quite some time ago.

Have a look at Thoughtcrime's post down the bottom of that page.

Thanks Mabsy that has really answered my question!

I suppose if you think about it dropping something in you eyes is pretty un-natural, maybe we sould just stay away from eyedrops altogether!!
