Hi there,

I'm jst wondering if any of u on the forum have tried the eminence mask? I've read some reviews on it but not very sure what kind of skin type is suitable for which... I've hyper-sensitive, congested skin. I'm lloking for a mask which calms but at the same time detox as well.. I'm 21 this year by the way.. Any ideas? Thanks so much!

Hello alimwj

I've only used the stonecrop mask from eminence which after the first use, I decided that I dont like it. I have mild acne, combination skin and red marks mainly on my t-zone and it has not helped with any of my problems.
I know there is one member here that has tried a number of eminence masks---maybe do a search for eminence and pm that member as I cant remember her name.

Anyway, after just that experience with the mask, I havent really looked into other eminence products since.

I do think that an aspirin mask is much better than the stone crop mask, and a lot cheaper too!
I've used but have stopped using aspirin and honey mask as I was already using loads of products on my skin so had to cut something out! But I have just bought some yoghurt which many members here have recommended.

Hope the aspirin mask works for you!

I've been told to just use plain yoghurt but I have read that Yakult helps in marks and blackheads so I bought some yoghurt containing pro/prebiotics (I dont really know the difference between the two Embarassed ). Hopefully something this cheap can help my skin! Very Happy

Good luck with the mask!

ah right, I didnt know all yoghurts contain them cos in the supermarket some yoghurts market themselves as containing this and that but others just have greek/plain/flavoured yoghurts on the label.

=) if u look at the ingredients.. as long as it contains lactobacillus (not sure i it spell it correctly).. the most common probiotics.. i'm not sure about greek yoghurt though... but i'm guessing it'd have as well..

of course.. if the probiotics is earlier, it'd mean that there's a higher content..

or u can google prociotcs on wikipedia and see what are the other names.. I remember there's afew rather common one..

Thanks alimwj.
Although I have been hearing lots about the benefits of yoghurt, I'm not much of a DIY girl and it was the previous day that I finally got the yoghurt cos I am desperate to get rid of my acne and red marks!

Here are the Eminence Masks I have tried:

Eight Greens Phyto Masque (Hot) - I didn't feel the heat that was described on the Eminence Website, however this is probably my favorite at home masque. It really leave my skin brighter (especially the next morning)... I wouldn't use this right before leaving the house as it does flush your skin somewhat.

Pumpkin and Orange Masque - Very stimulating! I loved this one, it made me feel like something was actually happening on my face! This seems to bring all of my impurities to the surface (I find that usually a day or so after using it some of my blackheads surface on their own!) Leaves me with a definate glow afterwards, but it calms down after waiting about 30 minutes... I use this once a week!

Sweet Red Rose Treatment - When you apply this masque, you don't see or feel an immediate reaction after the application. However, I do believe this gentle masque would be an excellent suggestion for people with sensitive skin. It feels like it firms my skin... it's not drying, but I didn't feel like it was very hydrating either.

Linden Calendula Treatment - This is a super rich cream that is SUPERB for moisturizing really dry skin! If you need a really rich treatment, this can be used as a night cream (that's how I use when needed)... I wouldn't use it for prolonged periods of time, because it is ultra rich - this product is not oily, a little goes a long way and it leaves my face youthful and glowing!

Sugar Plum Masque - This is a very soothing masque. It smells wonderful (it makes you want to lick your face!). Very hydrating and leaves your skin feeling almost silky. Super gentle and could probably be used several times a week.... I want more!

I only tried 2 samples of eminence mask: Eight Greens and Quince & Ice Wine. I like the Ice Wine one a lot - very moisturizing, but don't feel much difference after using the Eight Greens mask.
