Sorry you are in such a situation sudansy. I am sure you will be just fine. It is hard to give advice on a skin care forum regarding at home mole removal. I agree with Yogi. Please let your doctor have a look. |

The sooner you get to your doctor, the earlier he will help you to heal and treat your scar. Sometimes the scar tissue just need time to heal on its own, much like the dark brown/red spot left when acne is healed. It will fade eventually, with or without any additional help. |

oh my gosh, i had a mole removed (on my arm though) and it left a huge embarrassing mark...i totally know what you're talking about! maybe you can try using silicone sheets for a few weeks? you can buy them almost anywhere, in the first aid section--they help your scar to stay flat, and not become one of those gross raised specimens. wear that for a bit, and meanwhile make an appointment with a derm. keep it out of the sun, and after it's healed, you can try some exfoliation or retinoids...those can help as well. good luck! |

I don't think you should wait, as long as the area has scarred and isn't open. The fresher the scar, the easier to fade/smooth. I have a 12 year old scar from the chicken pox that I'm using CPs on now, and it's taking much longer because it's so old. |

This is simple, you were silly enough to do it so put up with it and find something more interesting in life other than a self inflicted mark. |

I had one removed a couple of years ago off my face. I didn't like the Cindy Crawford look
Anyway, the healing process does go through different stages. It does turn brown and dry on the edges while the centre looks red. I was told to use one of those over the counter healing creams that is used on cuts. This worked for me. I had it on during the day and at night I didn't apply it because I wanted it to heal naturally.
I am very pleased with the work that the doctor did.
If your concerned, go back to your doctor. |

i think that if you scrub to exfoliate the scar some how and then use copper peptides, it wud b much faster. i saw it on the internet. |

hi,
as Iaimei wrote, the scar would heal eventually.
the sooner you treat it, the better. Decleor's Prolagen gel is good for scars. Yoghurt is very good for scars (has milk proteins and lactic acid).
all the best! |

I put it as a face mask. Anytime is fine.
for your scar, you can put it on any time convenient for you and if you want, apply it only on the scar. Just leave it on for 15-20mins.after washing it off, apply some moisturiser on it. I would add pinch of turmeric to the yoghurt (set live not the runny kind). Turmeric is antiseptic. If honey suits you, you could add bit of it too (it is a fantastic moisturiser and has healing power too). The last ingredient I add is bit of rosewater(it soothes the skin). If you don't have time or the rest of the ingredients, just yoghurt on it's own is good enough.
If you have less time, leave it on for as less a time as 5mins. you can do this everyday if you find the time (if so, don't do it for 20mins everyday, rather 5-7mins) |

Hope it works for you.
please don't worry about the scar. It will fade away eventually. The yoghurt mask would speed the process.
you could also try decleor's prolagene gel (if you want). It plumps up skin and is good for scars or stretch marks. |

sudansy,
you might want to try curad scar therapy strips. It takes about eight weeks of daily use (12 hrs per day) but I can tell you from experience that they work. They are supposed to work on both old and new scars. They even out skin color and texture. You have to be persistent though. I did not notice a real improvement until about seven weeks into the treatment. HTH |
