I decided to go ahead and order the Julie Hewitt Femme noir lipstick. I fell for the name and the color looked stunning and the blurb said "suitable for all skin types" and avalange and others had been convincing Olivia, who has olive undertones, that Femme Noir is a true red etc etc...and I don't like it. I was so excited and my EDS parcel arrived within a few days. I tore it open and rushed to the ladies and Boo-hoo-hooo, it's not right. It's just too bright for me (I am pretty dark) and it has too much blue for my skintone. DH said "Woe, you have fluorescent lipstick on!" - which sunk me lower. I think it would be amazing on paler skin - it really gives that 40s glamor red lipstick look. So, I have it in case somebody wants to swap it for something else - preferably another JH lipstick like OOna, Coco or Sin. |

I can't believe nobody has stepped up for it yet!!! It would be perfect for a fair skin gal - real 40s glamor IMO. |
