Hi,
I have never used a peel before and I am thinking of purchasing the Psf Pumpkin peel.
For those who have used it, how should I start and it is a good peel to start with? Should I test a spot on my face first?
Are there any products that I shouldn't use before or after the peel?
Many thanks for your help! |

I am considering this peel also. I have normal to dry skin w/oily tzone if that makes sense. I normally do not have a problem with breakouts but have been noticing small pimples on my forehead near my hairline recently. I also have a problem with fine lines around eyes and forehead. I am hoping a mask will help but I'm not sure what type of peel/mask I should be looking at. |

Welcome to the forum
I am using the PSF Pumpkin Mask and I love it.
I have dry /oily around the nose skin. I am not patient enough, but a test spot is always a good idea. I started out with a few minutes and worked up.
I love all the PSF products and they are available through EDs.
I am sure there are more reviews. Go to the 'search' and type in PSF Pumpkin Peel.
Have fun

Hi I can't leave 10% lactic acid on for more then a few minutes, but I have no problem leaving this mask on for 30/40 mins. It is only recommended for 5 minutes though. It's a nice product. |

i just ordered this peel, i'd been eying it for ages! i cant wait til it gets here!!
i feel like my skin is pretty resistant, ive already been subjecting it to AHA and BHA for awhile, so i wonder if it'd be ok to leave it on my face for 15 minutes...? |

Amami aya, I know one girl who leaves it on for an hour. I don't find this mask harsh at all. |

I think you should start with try on small area on your face and test it you don't have any allergic and continue with all your face. |

Hey jbphoenix [love the name, BTW] I use PSF Pumpkin peel and absolutely love it! Permanent part of my routine.
I have oily skin, especially around the Tzone but it's pretty resistant. Even so, the first time I tried it, I did do the patch test thing and left it on for only 5 minutes. I've since worked up to 45 minutes; face is left glowing and smooth when I rinse it off.
Just be careful not to leave it on your neck for too long! I made that mistake a few weeks ago and was left with red, peeling irritated neck and it's too hot to wear turtlenecks so I had to deal with being a "redneck" for a few days. Of course, after the peeling went away, it was very soft.
Good luck and hope you like it! |

I never had a chance to use PSF pumpkin peel yet, Now I use NCN pumpkin peel. They said a patch test is imperative. Allergic reactions are very rare but can happen.Put a small amount on an inconspicuous part of your face (in front of your ear lobe) and leave on for 3 minutes (less if it is irritated) then rinse with tepid water. The pumpkin peel will string a little but it should not be uncomfortable.
Hope This Help |

Hi jbphoenix
I've used the PSF pumpkin peel and it is amazing! My HG until I read that NCN is slightly better so I'm going to try that instead. But PSF is a great starter peel. Smells yummy too!
I would definately do a patch test first, as Jira suggested in front of the ear lobe or maybe a little on your cheeks just to see how you react to it. It stings but dont worry cos thats normal!
HTH
BTW Jira, how are you finding the NCN peel? |

im liking this peel too! it stings a little at first but then it wears off into a somewhat pleasant sensation that seems to indicate that the mask is doing something
is the ncn more effective though? if so ill probably order it after i finish my psf one the mask leaves my face feeling softer but it doesnt seem to do anything for my acne scars. |

NCN's pumpkin peel is 30%, not sure about PSF one though, but it must be lower.
Reading the threads that relate to the NCN pp, everyone who has used it seem to LOVE it, and because I wanted to buy the CP serum, I thought what the heck and ordered the large tub of the pp!
Yes, I'm also finding that although the PSF pp certainly makes my skin soft and smooth, I couldnt see it fading my acne marks either. So lets hope the NCN one can!
Email Nanci your concerns and questions and I'm sure she will reply with answers to your queries. |
