I know it has been sparsely mentioned in some Obagi threads. I have been following all the Obagi threads and they have convinced me to try the Nuderm program. I am going to order this but I have two questions.
Firstly, it is totally impossible for me to go without any foundation, my skin is far too damaged, pigmented, etc etc. what do users do for makeup? is it the mineral makeup that tends to work while on Obagi?
Also for Obagi users, I am trying to decide when to start, (the sooner the better) but if I know I will be down south in about 6-8 weeks, it is advisable that I dont start until after my trip? I am very diligent with sunblock.
actually 3 questions, re: the retin a, do I have to get this from my derm or can I buy this online somewhere?
thanks in advance |

I can't help with the make-up as I don't wear any, but I am sure other obagi people will help you.
As for your trip, do you know you will be out in the sun all day or a big portion of the day? If so, I would wait until you got back from your trip to start. That is just my opinion, though. It is also a strong system and you will be red and flaky starting off, so not a great look for a trip, either!
You can get the Retin A on line. I think a lot of people get it this way - just google it and there are places that come up. (inhousepharmacy and medsmex are 2 names I remember). HTH! Good luck! |

I still put on make up when I first used Obagi. It's OK for me. |

Hi,
It was while using Obagi that my plastic surgeon assistant did my makeover using JI minerals. I had really good luck using the pressed base with Obagi. To this day i still use Jane Iredale.

Makeup is never going to look "normal" when you are on obagi (during the first 6 weeks at least.) I had some luck with Laura Mercier Mineral makeup. It helped take away some of the redness, and helped disguise the flakies a bit--although by the middle of the day the flakes were always winning! |
