Thanks Bethany. I'm currently using CV SkinLabs Calming Moisture and it's pretty good, so just was wondering if Epionce was any better after a ReAura treatment. |

That looks like it has some nice anti inflammatory ingredients, but does not have everything required to repair the skin barrier (no ceramides, etc) |

Yeah true and it's a bit pricey IMO, $49 for 2 oz. |

I received some Epionce samples today, and immediately tried the Renewal Facial Lotion. Super lightweight and extremely minimal fragrance. This would be great under makeup if you have regular or oily skin.
I'll keep you posted as I try the other samples. |

Just tried the Lytic TX...also very lightweight and completely scent free. It has to be applied 5-7 mins before anything else. Interestingly my face feels very hot since I put it on.

Yowza...my face is still on fire from the Lytic Tx. I guess I would need a weaker strength if I chose to use this on a regular basis. |

I found a fabulous seller on eBay that sells full size products at a significant discount. I am going to purchase the Intensive Nourishing Cream, the Medical Barrier Cream, and the MelanoLyte Tx. This is the same person my samples came from, and they were delivered with a detailed Epionce instruction sheet as well.
I'll take pics and let everyone know how the line does at reducing redness, pigmentation, and inflammation. (In between ReAura and derma pen treatments of course)

I just tried the Epionce Intensive Nourishing Cream layered over my Environ C-Quench 3, and there was no balling up unlike my other fav line Nia24. And no discernible scent, which makes me even happier.
I was going to do another derma pen treatment, but at this point I think I will just wait 6 weeks and focus on reducing inflammation with Epionce and see how things go. I have been using Environ for 10 months now, so I am pretty sure I can determine what each line is contributing at this point. |

@Bethany, have you had a chance to use the Medical Barrier Cream yet? I am considering this as my everyday moisturizer for my combo/oily/dehydrated skin. I'm starting fresh with a new skincare regimen (still looking for a cleanser)so thinking of using the Skin Active Every lipid serum followed by this product. Do you think it is too moisturizing for combo/ oily skin? I haven't had any laser work etc... |

cocoagirl, not Bethany, but I use the medical barrier cream for eczema flare-ups. I think it would definitely be too much for someone with oily skin. It reminds me of vaseline in a cream form if that makes sense. |

Ooh good to know! I've been busy looking for a product with ceramides, fatty acids etc since I learned the ingredients that moisturizers should have but I guess some of these products might be too moisturising for my oily skin... |

I completely agree...it is pretty heavy. I would suggest the Nia24 Skin Strengthening Complex instead. |

So independent clinical studies were run with the new Epionce Intensive Defense Serum, and it came out on top vs both Skin Medica TNS Recovery Complex serum and Skinceuticals CE Ferulic serum.
Lovelyskin has this at 25% off right now...tempting, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I went ahead and ordered the serum...I will be using this in combination with Environ products, so we'll have to see how things turn out. I am going to take some pics tomorrow for my own progress tracking. |

Just an interesting FYI....I am pretty pale, and my cheek skin has been very red lately for whatever reason. After using Epionce for a few days, the redness is markedly reduced. However, since the founder wrote one of my favorite articles on reducing skin inflammation, I guess I should not be surprised at all.
I think I am going to stick with the Epionce and Environ combo and see how things look in 6 months or so. |

Here is my routine, which will combine Epionce and Environ products. You will see a few other brands that I am using up, and then they will not be repurchased (except the Olay, Elta MD and Burnout). I will review the products on the appropriate threads. FYI that I will be sticking with the Epionce/Environ combo for the next 6 to 12 months.
Skin care routine:
AM:
Olay wipe or shower
Environ eye gel
Environ Toner mixed with Epionce Melanolyte
Epionce Intense Defense Serum on face, neck, chest
Elta Md sunscreen on face
Lumixyl or Nia24 on arms
Burnout Sunscreen on arms/hands
PM:
Olay wipe or shower
Environ eye gel
Environ Toner mixed with Epionce Melanolyte
Environ CQuence 4 on face
Environ CQuence 2 on neck and chest
Epionce Intensive moisturizer/eye cream
Lumixyl or Nia24 on arms
Environ body cream on arms/hands |

A few quick thoughts on these products...
Epionce Eye Cream - very heavy. I would only feel comfortable using this at night unless you are VERY dry.
Epionce Intense Defense Serum - Very lightweight, and can be used under makeup.
Epionce Intensive Nourishing Cream - VERY heavy. I would only use this at night, but definitely not during the day.
Epionce MelanoLyte Tx - Very lightweight and could be worn under makeup. |

I just started using the Melanolyte Tx product for hyperpigmentation, and read in this clinical study vs. Obagi that similar results were obtained without the HQ and all the irritation.
See clinical study results:

However,I noticed the results were better when the Melanolyte Pro facial mask was added.

I tried it for the first time tonight. They had mentioned that it might feel hot, but I felt zero heat or irritation, so plan on using it 1x a week as recommended. (1/2 a tablespoon per application)
FYI that I purchased from Lovelyskin.com during a 25% off sale. When I try a product line, I commit to a minimum of 6 months, so we will see how things go. |

Yes, I do know that I am pretty much talking to myself on this thread, lol.
But I have really sensitive skin and can no longer use Retin A. So if the info I am posting can help another reader with similarly sensitive skin, it is worth the time to post. |

Bethany,
Have you not get any improvement of hyperpigmentation from ReAura? |

I initially thought I saw some, but in retrospect I think the redness just masked it. But I am going to do another series after I spend some time on a pigmentation suppression program |

After trying this last night, I decided that this is not the optimal product for exfoliation since it didn't seem to do much. (Ok, it didn't seem to do anything at all)
Going forward, I will use Cure once a week for exfoliation instead, and will then follow with the Melanolyte Pro to limit the inflammation. It just seems like more bang for the buck. |
