I have been using obagi for 2 months now, and am seeing an improvement, not startling, but better, but now I wonder how long my program should continue for. i use clear and exfoderm in the morning and clear and blender at night? Is there a maintenence program after a certain period of time, my dermatologist just says keep using it?? |

I have been using the Obagi Nu-Derm system for 5 or 6 years. It has done amazing things for my skin. 2 months is not enough time to see the best results. I can't remember when I noticed. Actually a friend of mine who I only see once or twice a year noticed the difference, and immediately asked me what I was using on my skin. I have tried other products; nothing works as well. I'm very stingy when it comes to using the products and they can last me up to 8-10 months. I usually only buy once a year. A little goes a long way. Also the blender is supposed to be used with .1% retinol A. I use it with Kinerase. Retinol A is too hard on my dry skin. Also I need eye cream with it, day and evening. Stay with it. |

The usual recommended course for the system is 18 weeks and then you can go on some kind of maintenance. Check the http://www.obagi.com/article/forpatients/obaginu-dermsystem/obaginu-dermsystem.html for more info.... |

Thanks for the advise. Will stick with it and hope one day when I wake up I look like a 23 year old super model! It's a big ask, but I do believe in miracles. |

Hi there!
Usually people use Obagi for 18 weeks (3 skin cycles) before going on maintenance. I'm on week 12 now and I have been seeing great results...i would like to ease off now, but I want to stick it out for 3 cycles to get the maximum benefit! |

Susan1951, are you using every obagi product every day still after 5-6 years? |

HI, Iam also nearing the end of my 18 weeks with Nuderm and have had great results. My question is what protocol are you using for maintenance and what are you using for the days you are not using the Nuderm products.

burke56, the protocol for maintenance for Obagi is exfoderm 3 times a week, on the opposite days in the morning clear 3 times a week, and blender/RA anywhere from 3-5 times a week at night. You can use the clear 3 times a week at night, as well. HTH! |

You're welcome! You can use a moisturizer if you want to when you are on maintenance. One other thing that I just found out is you do maintenance for 3 months and then do a 6 week full use of products, and continue repeating that. I think if your hyperpigmentation/freckles, etc are maintaining gone on the maintenance you really would not have to do that, but I did want to mention that I found that out. |

I've never used Obagi but if you're looking for something else to use after it to give you some WOW-factor I would try Osmosis!
The idiot skin clinic I went to started me on Cosmedix and started laser treatments all at the same time and my skin reacted horribly! It was terribly over-stimulated by both, not to mention they did laser at 2 week intervals - my skin had the equivalent of a nervous breadown -
I tried to persist with the Cosmedix but it really just aggravated and irritated my skin -- so I got Googling and stumbled upon Osmosis - I read everything on the original website and watched all of Ben's vids and figured his new line was the one for me - I found a distributor in Australia and ordered something like the following: Cleanse, Refresh AM & PM, Mend, Replenish, Quench and Shelter -- Immediately my skin was calm, smooth and glowing... I've tried a lot from the range in 2.5 years and My faves would be: Refresh PM, Correct, Replenish, Stemfacter, Catalyst, Anti-aging Powder, Quench and Shelter. The minute I run out of any of them I start having problems. I've tried a little bit of this and that since starting Osmosis but nothing else gives me results and I stick with Osmosis. |

I would start with Replenish from the Osmosis range - I think most Osmosis fans would say it is a star product that is very gentle and you will notice fairly immediate results |
