I read somewhere recently (I can't remember where since I frequently read on planes and in airports and I have seen way too many of both) that most people are using the wrong color concealer, particularly under the eye.
This lady is a makeup artist and she said that apricot is the color we should be using. The yellow based concealers mix with the blueish/purpleish colors under our skin and make it a greenish color?? She had some pic examples and they did look better with apricot under their eyes.
What color do you use? Has anyone seen apricot colored concealer?

Interesting. I have never heard of Apricot as a color option for concealer. I use a light beige color.
Makes sense about the yellow color causing a green cast. Wonder if anyone else has heard of apricot colored concealer? |

I heard of using apricot color concealer for undereye circles....a more of an orangey color rather than a yellow concealer. I heard it covers better and looks more natural. But I wonder where can I get an apricot concealer. I don't know about pink concealer though.
But most of the time, we think that we should use a yellow tone concealer if we have yellow undertone...and a pink concealer if we have pink tone. Shouldn't we think about wat's more suitable for the undereye area since it's always bluish/purplish in color? hhm... |

Bobbi Brown has correctors in Lt. Peach & Peach. Her website states "Peach neutralizes purple-brown undereye darkness common in olive, golden and tan skin tones." I haven't seen them IRL so I don't know if they're exactly apricot color but they sound like they'd do the job. |
