Ladies I need your expertise! I have always been afraid of upper lip lines and it is starting to happen to me. I started noticing one line on the upper corner in the morning and now it is becoming more pronounced and I beleive more are coming. My 60 yr. old mom has none. My grandmother did not have any! What can I do to stop more lines from forming and get rid of the ones already formed. Thanks

As far as I know the only sure cures for deep lip lines are medical procedures such as collagen injections, chemical peels and laser treatments. If your lines are more superficial there are other less invasive things you can do to minimize them. First, use Glycolic Acid. Every morning, after you wash your face, apply a lotion containing glycolic acid around your lip area. The glycolic acid will encourage your skin to slough off old cells that have formed lines and replace them with the younger, smoother cells underneath. Be careful not to put glycolic acid directly on your actual lip line or the lips themselves. Lips are composed of mucus cells, not skin cells, which are extremely sensitive to contact with glycolic acid. If you get it on your lips it wont do you any good and it will burn. Remember to always use a good sunscreen daily.

You may also want to do a search about lips2kiss. I remember reading that a lot of ladies had very good results with minimizing/reducing lip lines using the face2flaunt system by lips2kiss.

Id like to know this too. I started applying retin a there about 6 months ago.

Somedays I feel like it helps and others..it just seems to make them look worse Confused Like today, they seem deeper. I dont know if its just that the retin a is really drying out my skin sometimes. Somedays it even looks cracked. Im nearly ready to stop using the damn stuff. And I only use it 3 nights a week too.
