i have these blackheads on my nose. I've used Biore Strips, but they do not work. How do you get rid of them? |

Dr. H Cleansing Clay mask, its the only product that has totally eradicated them for me. Epidermix has helped immensely with refining the pores after they are clean. |

I use the Emergin C no comedones lotion. It works a treat. Lasts forever as well as you only need to wipe it on. |

Hey Vonstella-
How many times a week do you use the Dr. H clay mask to keep your pores clear?
TIA! |

Honestly I use it almost every other day. Its not really necessary to use it that often to see results but I love the fact that it will leave me matte (not dry) for the whole next day. I have very oily skin though and live in a humid concrete jungle known as Dallas, obviously different skin types and climates will vary the frequency of use. On my real problem areas such as nose pores and chin I will sometimes sleep with it on, you know if I want to look extra good the next day! I'll never give this mask up!
I think 2-3 times a week would be fine though, again it depends on how congestion prone you are. |

I have the same problem. My facialist recommended I moisturize, moisturize, and then moisturize some more. I've started using Decleor Essential Balm and find it does a great job at dissolving the dirt, making the blackheads easier to extract. I also use a clay mask on my t-zone about once a week. |

I use DHC cleansing oil to get rid of them. And also you can use AHA too. |

I've heard that Take hot steam on your face to soften the blackheads for easy removal. Apply exfoliant or a scrub that will help remove dead skin from your face.

BHA is good way. But its hard to find the right product. I try many with little success. I just receive MD Skincare All over blemish solution. Heard really good reviews about it its suppose to dissolve waxy plugs... |

I got mine from a day spa in Australia. I know that skinstore carries it and if you are in Australia, fountaincosmetics do as well. they are both reliable sites. |

Hi fletch-lives-on,
I think you can get Emergin C products through certain day spas in NZ (then the postage won't be as much as via skinstore)if fountain don't carry the No Comedones lotion - you could google it and see. if you can find somewhere close that will do you a facial, the Emergin C facials are pretty wow - at least the girl I go to is fab - she gives the BEST facials and I have tried many. I am a total facial and massage junkie. |

Yes Fletch. Go to the link above at my post. The BHA choices are under shop skin care. The 2% liquid version is very good. |

Thanks Susie and Peppy.
Peppy i have done some googling and found a beautician that only uses emerginC. It is nearby too! As my skin is acne-prone i am always nervous about going for facials in case they break me out even further...but i have to admit they do sound nice. I notice that there is an emergin C one especially for breakout prone skin too. I think I might go in and buy the no comedones product off them first and see what i think of that before trying the facial |

Hi fletch-lives-on, Good luck with the no comedones lotion. My beauticann even suggested letting my teenager put it on his acne straight. she had prescribed it for my nose and it has been great. I recently had a facial at a spa that uses dermalogica (a birthday present)and the therapist made a note on my face "map" that there were No Blackheads on my nose. It is quite watery, and I don't put it on a cotton pad to apply, just use clean fingers and massage it in after cleansing. Let it dry, then use your normal skin regime over it. Good luck. |
