Hi all,

I'm curious to know if any of you have used or are currently the Tweezerman Skin Care Tool. According to its description, it's used to "roll out mature whiteheads" and "press out blackheads." Does it work? (I imagine you'd need to steam your face before attempting any kind of extraction.)

Thanks! Smile

Just bought one of these today for my son. He WILL NOT stop picking! So I bought it on the basis that if he won't quit picking, then do extractions properly with the tool, after cleansing and steaming. It does say on the package to steam first and only attempt white heads that have broken the surface.

Its does work but has a few downsides. You MUST steam before using this and there is quite the learning curve for the right technique as it can be tricky. Does not work on "fleshy" areas of the face like the cheeks, usually what will happen is the pressure will end up pushing the blemish further into the skin causing a cyst. Not fun. It works better for the area around the nose, forehead, and the bony part of your chin. If you attempt to use this on the "side of the mouth" hormonal acne, you will be very, very sorry. Be prepared for the cyst of your life with a undetermined lifespan. You also need to be very careful to use the appropriate amount of pressure, if you go to hard you will damage to skin and make your problem worse. I would really only suggest using it on blemishes or blackheads that have already "broken" the surface like the instructions illustrate. Anything that is level with the skin will most likely not come out. Anyway, that's my experience with it.

Ha ha, I didn't mean to scare you off! Its is a good tool to have handy, its just that you need to be careful just like with over-exfoliation. I think that most people get on a extraction high when using it and go overboard, that's when the damage can start. Its not that hard I swear!
