I'm sitting here watching it snow outside. Sad
I have nearly 8 months of snow and TV ahead of me.

My favorite shows are...
Rescue Me
Grey's Anatomy
Desperate Housewives
Two and Half Men
NCIS
House
Boston Legal
Nip/Tuck
24
Lost
Dog the Bounty Hunter
Kitchen Nightmares - Gordon's hot
Prison Break - I think that I may giving up on this one. The 3rd season is really boring.

My new favorite shows...
Dirty Sexy Money
Private Practice

I still love watching re-runs of Sex and the City, King of Queens, Will and Grace and According to Jim.

Mad Men
Turner Classic Movies
Gene Simmons Family Jewels
Ghost whisperer
I'm sometimes fascinated by those Nanny Rescue stories. (I just can't believe how horrendous those children are!)
These are some of my favorites when I can wrestle the clicker away from my son and husband.

I love Gene Simmons Family Jewels. Gene's a really smart man and he treats Shannon with a lot of respect. His son Nick is hilarious.

I'm really spoiled, because my videogame-designer boyfriend has a ten-foot-screen projector, cable with DVR, and the ability to download almost anything for free. And I grew up on a black-and-white nine-inch with a coat hanger for an antenna and five fuzzy network channels, haha. He's turned me into a total TV snob!

I don't actually have time to watch all of these, so this is just a best-case scenario. We watch a lot of TV on DVD and we also download lots of stuff, so our options may not be applicable to all.

Current shows I/we like:
Dexter
LOST
Heroes
Battlestar Galactica
The Office (US version)
The Colbert Report
The Daily Show with John Stewart
Countdown with Keith Olberman
Family Guy
The Simpsons
Futurama
Monk

We also may go back and get episodes of 30 Rock and start watching that.

New shows this fall we may start watching:
Pushing Daisies
Dirty Sexy Money
Carpoolers
Bionic Woman
Back to You
Chuck
Reaper

Old standards on DVD/good old Internet:
Alias
Arrested Development
The West Wing, seasons 1-4
Sports Night
The Office (UK version)
Gilmore Girls
Six Feet Under
The Sopranos

Sweet Jesus, I'm going to have to quit my job! Laughing

I love all of the usual suspects like Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, and Brothers and Sisters. I just started watching Big Shots which just premiered and I think it is going to become one of my favorites too.

Must Watch :
Supernatural (filmed here! Very Happy )
Grey's Anatomy (I record it, while watching SN)

New Shows I'm Enjoying:
Pushing Daisies
Reaper (filmed here! Cool Will be one of my faves, I think.)

Disappointed by:
Bionic Woman (filmed here Cool ; betting it will be cancelled, as it's not doing so well in the ratings.)

Watch On Occasion
The Hour
Extreme Makeover Home Edition (I love seeing the end results!)

Those are the only shows I make a point of watching. Other than that, I channel surf.

P.S. Is it just me, or is Grey's Anatomy really lame so far this season? Anxious

I stopped watching TV completely when I was 15 as I found it so boring. We didn't have cable TV at home and Thai TV programs were nothing but rubbish. Now 10 years later and I have cable TV at my own place, I'm more or less glued to my TV. Laughing I love CSI, CSI New York, Grey's Anatomy, Dexter, House, and anything on Discovery channel. But my all time favorite program is Queer As Folk (American version) which is no longer showing.

Reality t.v. junkie here as well! My favorites are:

ANTM
Top Chef
Project Runway (I can't WAIT for the new season!!!)
Beauty and the Geek

I don't watch many "fictional" shows b/c the ones I like always end up getting cancelled as soon as I get into them, but I have been enjoying the new show "Pushing Daisies". Also, I really like "Degrassi: The Next Generation" even though I am 31 years old! I used to watch the old ones when I was young and I love how they incorporated the original characters in the beginning of the new series. Now they've kind of moved away from that but I'm hooked!

DH and I had a contest who could last the longest w/o cable when we got married 12 yrs ago. So far...no cable. But my secret vice is old DVDs of "Deadwood". Lots of profanity, but the attention to historical detail is fascinating to me. Very tongue-in-cheek humor but loads of graphic violence. Not your typical chickflick series. DH can't stand it tho, so it's my own dirty little secret.

Because we are so busy during the week, we actually avoid catching pieces of our faves when they are on and then we buy the whole season on DVD when it's over (about 40 min an epidose without commercials!):

Rescue Me
24
Entourage
The Shield
Deadwood
Prison Break (is fading though...)
Cold Case Files (or any other A & E "cop-type" show)
Nip Tuck

I do admit to being a bit of a news junkie and am quite annoyed if I don't catch the headlines at 6:00! Rolling Eyes

My new guilty pleasure is Gossip Girl...not something i would readily announce to the public since i'm 23, but it definitely does something for my Sex & the City withdrawals seeing all those nice outfits.
