Has anyone read this book yet? It is written by Ben Kaminsky, the founder of B. Kamins. It seems interesting from the amazon summary:

Book Description
Sexy and ageless skin is possible for a woman at any age -- and she doesn't have to resort to invasive treatments like Botox to get it-as long as she cares for her skin properly, says Ben Kaminsky, founder of B. Kamins, Chemist and leading authority in helping women's skin look healthy and beautiful. In Beyond Botox, Kaminsky provides a groundbreaking 7-step plan to help skin look younger and sexier...without Botox or surgical procedures. The book's plan is based in science and targeted specifically to women who are searching for a common-sense alternative to eating fish 6 days a week (a la Perricone). This plan includes scientific secrets on how exercising too vigorously can rob your skin of vitality; how getting 8 hours' sleep for a week will take years off your skin; and how using the right amount of moisturizer (and the right weight of moisturizer) will actually make a difference in how your skin looks and feels. Beyond Botox will not advocate use of only B. Kamins products. Kaminsky will talk about popular products and how to find creams that will make a difference on your skin type. B. Kamins, Chemist has established itself as THE skincare brand for women in midlife, and this book will establish itself as THE book for women who want vital-looking skin in midlife and beyond.

About the Author

Kamins and is a consummate marketer of the family products, traveling worldwide to day-spas, medi-spas, and resorts. He regularly markets the products on QVC and The Shopping Channel (Canada). It does seem interesting, but I just hope the book is not a mere tool for him to promote his own product.

Hi! the description above says Beyond Botox will not advocate use of only B. Kamins products. Kaminsky will talk about popular products and how to find creams that will make a difference on your skin type.. So i am guessing no. I gonna see if my local bookstore has this in stock.

I read the book a while ago. I borrowed it from the library. It is not a great book, but does cover the basics well. However, if you are a regular on this forum and others such as MUA skincare board, you probably won't learn a lot of new things.

I do recommend, if you get the book, checking the resources at the back of the book. I had checked out their site and was sent very nice skin care samples. Samples were in small tubes (not foil packets). The line is available at EDS.

If you are looking for a skin care book, I suggest "Skintype Solutions" by Dr. Baumann. She is a derm. It breaks down skin types (16 subtypes) and what ingredients in your skin care products to either look for or avoid. She does give a list of suggested products including drug store. I do not agree with all her suggested products but this is a good starting point if understand why certain ingredients would work for your skin type.
