Well I am going to get artefill, the recently approved wrinkle filler in the US. This is a permanent filler,I have spent thousands on temporary filler so I am hoping to permanently knock out my nasal folds. Got the collagen test today(the beads are released in a collagen base) in 28 days if all is well I will be getting the injection...I cant wait wrinkles gone for good!My dr says I am a perfect candidate and he thinks he can get rid of my nasal fold permanently. He has been having fantastic results with artefill,he only charges 1000 pr syringe,I have called around and it can go as high as 2500! |

Good Luck! Yes keep us posted on the results, I would love to hear how this works out for you. Are the shots painful? I remember reading somewhere that the radiesse filler shots hurt like a dickens
Is this really permanent-permanent or like 5-10 years type of permanent? |

LucyLuc...where are you located?
I too am looking into permanent fillers for both lips and nasolabials and looked into Artefill. In my research I found that Artefill is based in San Diego and some of the doctors who were the first to use it are in my area (North San Diego County). In fact the company sponsored my daughter's soccer club last year before Artefill got the FDA ok.
Anyway-I am looking at silikon-1000 for my lips but am debating what to do for my NLs. Please take before & after's and good luck. |

Its apparent this is what you really want; to wipe away your wrinkles........but whats wrong with wrinkles? Can we not age gracefully instead of being poked, prodded, and sliced to look younger. I say, leave well enough alone and be happy with how you look, wrinkles and all! Now that I've ranted, I'm sure to hear other comments for or against. |

aging in inevitable, accepting it is optional. Aging is anything but graceful,I choose to try to look the best I can. Oh, I live 30 miles north of San Diego. My dr is dr. flynn in Encinitas,he did my plastic surgery. I have no regrets about getting plastic surgery ,when you look better you feel better. My face started to look bad about 2 yrs ago when I was 51,my dr. turned the clock back at least 10 yrs,I have no more drooping skin. I will need 1 to 2 syringes, spaced a month apart. Its 1000 for each syringe, but remember you dont have to go back every 6 months, its permanent.Thats a great price I have called around and was getting quotes of 1200 to 2500 pr syringe. |

oh I forgot to say I had my collagen test Tues and was very distressed to see that my reaction looked bad, I was very bruised-2 inches long! I went back to the nurse, she did not think I was allergic to the collagen test, only that the nurse had hit a vein.I got another test, so far so good!No reaction at all |

Hi,
I had Artecoll (it's the same as Artefill - just called Artecoll outside of the U.S.) about 4 years ago. I had 2 syringes - 1 for each nasal fold. At the time it cost me about $800 CDN each. Best thing I ever did!. 4 years later and my lines still look pretty much like I just had it done. As far as I know it is supposed to last for 10 years or longer. I would highly recommend it. |

I will try Artecoll myself someday when my juvederm wears off maybe, hope it works out and keep us posted.
Lucyluc-you might try the juvederm instead of resty next time. It's lasted almost 9 months for me, way longer than the resty, but it was cheaper. |
