I was just interested to see if anyone has tried this. I've been using it over a month now and so far it is working fine. I was interested to know if anyone knows the % of DMAE in it. Also, how if you are using it, would like to know what you think about the MSM ingredients and how it compares to powder MMU. So far, it feels quite nice on my face and have had no breakouts at all.

Diva,
I've been intrigued by this. Foundations are my weak spot. LOL. I don't like powdered MMU, the mess or the appearance. What kind of finish do you feel this gives? Is it typical MMU?

I love my powder MMU, but sometimes it was just too powdery or sometime I wanted more coverage. This liquid MMU from NCN is a light liquid and the coverage is sheer. But let the first coat set and then you can layer more coats if you want. I tend not to do that and just a concealer if I need it. I have oily skin, so when I first used it, it is not matte or drying. It feels more like you are putting on a tinted moisterizer, but with more coverage. It is not oily or greasy feeling at all and it dries to a nice finish that is not too powdery or matte. NCN has samples so you may want to try them to try it out for you.

Thank you Diva! I like that kind of coverage. I guess it's the powdery look I don't like. I'll have to give it a try.

I tried a sample of this and while I was really amazed that the one with pink undertones fit me, I didn't think the coverage was that great and still had to apply my regular MMU on top for the best coverage. It seemed to itch the first couple times I used, it; I shelved it, left it in my purse then tried it again a month later when I needed some coverage and it was the only thing I had with me. No itching with the later applications, so perhaps my first reaction was due to something else.

just my 2 cents; will likely stick to powder but for those that want to get away from powder foundation, this is a far better alternative to anything you'll find in the drugstores...

I've been using it for about a month and I really like it. I've always had problems with foundations (regular not mineral) flaking and producing dry patches, but I don't get any of that with the NCN MMU foundation. If I need more coverage, I put an extra layer on. I find it goes on very smoothly and blends in well. It's the first time in a very long time that I've found a foundation that works for me.

I agree with everything Mischa has said, the NCN Liquid Minerals is wonderful and much easier to apply than the powders. It also has good staying power and doesn't streak. I also like to combine it with the NCN Sheer Tint (which I can't live without).

I don't know what the percentage of DMAE is in the Liquid Minerals, but I'm sure if you email Nanci she will let you know. Her CS is fab.

Keliu,
Tell me more about the sheer tint? Do you apply it first then add the Liquid MMU?

The Sheer Tint is an SPF 20 tinted moisturiser which I like to wear everyday. It provides a dewy finish which is very flattering on both mature age and young skin - it doesn't give you that heavily made-up look. If I have some blotchiness or uneven skintone I spot-treat with the Liquid MMU. If I do want a more "sophisticated" look I just wear the Liquid MMU by itself. Both of these products are very good and have solved my life-long quest for the perfect foundation!

Hi everyone! I contacted the manufacturer of the Firming Liquid Minerals and apparently the % of DMAE is a secret because they said they can't give out that information!!!!! I was surprised to tell you the truth. So I apologize that I can't tell you - I'd like to know myself. Nanci

I have gone through a bottle of this and truly love it. I have melasma and feel like I get good coverage with this. If I need additional coverage I spot treat. I'm ordering more today.

I had given up on MMU until I tried NCN liquid minerals. It minimizes fine lines and looks great on mature skin--kind of glowy.

I have been liking this more and more, especially with the drier heat of winter and my powdered MMU has been looking too cakey. I'm convinced now my first reaction and itching was caused by something else. I've been using it on a fairly regular basis [amazing how long my sample has lasted!] and can't recommend it enough. The coverage is sheer, if you need more coverage you'll either need to apply layers or use something else on top. I have found that applying it with a duo fiber brush similar to the MAC 187 gives you a far better finish than just using your fingers and a flocked sponge tends to absorb way too much foundation.

I haven't noticed any firming, but then again I use other products with DMAE anyway.

Is there a certain age that's good to use products with DMAE or this foundation? Or it doesn't really matter?

Anyways, I just ordered samples from them and hoping that they're as good as what everyone said. The shades seem limited cuz they only have either yellow or pink undertone. It would be nice if they have a neutral one.

I'll try the samples once it arrived and post my review for sure. Smile

Good question, wish I knew the answer. I started using Janson Beckett AlphadermaCE a nearly one year ago and noticed some firming action after a couple months. Whether the firming is from DMAE, arigilene or elastins contained in this formula, I don't know. I'm 43.

Yes, I was worried about the lack of range as well but they're quite forgiving. I settled into the light/med with pink undertones and it disappears right into my skin.

My skintone is hard to pin down I still haven't figured it out. The closest MAC match for me is NW25, but even that's too yellow on me. I think I think I'm a neutral because I both pass and fail all tests to determine skin tone Very Happy I don't have either blue [cool] or green [warm] veins; instead they're purple. I look good in both gold [warm] and silver [cool] jewelry, and can wear either white [cool] or cream [warm]. I can also either pull off the jewel tones [which are supposed to be more cool]and warm autumn earth tones, do you see how confused I am?

Hi scrapmom and welcome to EDS! NCN offers this liquid mineral makeup, although she doesn't make it. Other skincare products are offered on her site as well and CS is prompt and pleasant!www.ncnproskincare.com

I'm very similar to you Athena in that my skintone is hard to pin down. I'm dark brunette, blue eyes and my veins are all three colors. LOL. I did best with the firming minerals in the medium/dark.

I've been using this since October 2007. So far, I still like it. I have to use a couple of appllications to get the coverage, but I like it's sheerness for those "no make-up" days. I too had some problems with the color, but I found that setting it with my Alima MMU (which is close to my skin color) really sets it and closely matches my skin tone. So far, no breakouts, and it makes my skin look healthy.

By the way, I've started using retin-a again and I have the usual peeling/flaking going on. Well, I can't use my MMU as much because it just makes it drier. I use this liquid MMU and my flakes are non-existant during the day. I think the aloe is great for it.
