This is my number one favorite product...forget beauty, clarisonic, MBT shoes, this little product will pay itself off in a matter of months. It is called the Diva Cup and I loooooooooooove it so much I bought it for my sisters, friends, and even my coworkers. Everyone who tries it LOVES it. I simply cannot rave enough about it. It will change your life! The only request I have is that if you try it, when you love it to spread the word! Its ridiculous how women are not aware of such a product`s existence. YOU WILL LOVE IT! All the women around me are using it and they are also mad about it! They sell it on Betterlife and ship internationally at a low cost.
Ps: I have been using it for years now, and seriously its amazing. I also used the Keeper, which is similar, but in my opinion the diva cup is better since its more flexible. |

I hear these can make your periods lighter too. Is that true? How?
I tried one and it seemed so inconvenient. |

Possibly less irritation? I have no clue! |

Gee, I used something like this except not this brand. I'm not squeamish about blood and body fluids, particularly my own,and I know all about putting in a diaphragm. But this was not for me at all...I found it inconvenient, you have to get up and rinse it out, (um... ick?) and to top it all off it leaked. Let's just say I did NOT have a good experience. Maybe Diva's do better about leakage but the issues of changing-the-cup chore as well as cleaning it out remains the same, IMO. |

I used something like it before...its called Instead. It was alright...Kinda messy tho
How much more different is the Diva Cup? |

I started with the Keeper, which is made out of rubber, and compared to the diva cup, it seemed so old fashion!
The diva cup is more flexible, and reusable, which is great because after wearing it a while, it naturally molds to your shape, making it more efficient. Now...the trick is in the beginning, being used to the conventional crap they sell like pads and tampons, (which the companies put rayon and other chemicals to make you bleed more = you buy more of their products), it does seem odd at first.
You might spot a little bit in the beginning, since it takes a few times to get the hang of it. But its worth it, so dont give up! I am able now to pop it out and in in a matter of seconds. No leakage, and most of the time I even forget I am on my period! I love this product so much that I bought all my girl friends one, and after some reluctance, they all love it and are buying it for their friends!
Its true, it does make your periods shorter. I used to have a week long period but now, its reduced to 2 days wearing the cup and then a pantyliner.
Note: The diva cup must be wet to be able to insert, esp. in the beginning. Also it is used for the heavy days, its not really worth wearing towards the end. |

You do rinse it out, but if thats a problem, you empty it in toliet and then wipe it with toliet paper.
It takes a little bit of practice, if you are able to pop it out (by pinching the bottom slightly), it should not be messy whatsoever.
Like I said, its completely different than the conventional methods, but much healthier and it makes your periods not an issue whatsoever. I change it once a day and totally forget about it. It is worth practicing it.
I have only used the keeper and the diva cup. I had quite a few problems with the keeper in the beginning, but none whatsoever with the diva cup, so I think that the product makes a difference. Try it out! It is great not ever having to walk down that supermarket isle again... |

i'm with you sangria1269!!!
I've been a "diva" for over one year now. it took me a few months before I was truly comfortable with using and wearing it, but now I couldn't live without it!
saves money, the environment and feels waaaay cleaner to me than tampons or pads ever did!
I even used it during a one month long road trip that I went on this summer - and I was living out of my car the whole time!! noooo problems at all with it!
i've also converted a few friends who are just as happy as I am with it! |

I completely agree. I've used the Keeper for years, and I really think they should be on sale next to tampons in all chemists that stock sanitary ware. The only reason they arent is because of the huge amounts of profit to be made out of selling women tons of compressed cotton wool each month. |

That is so true, it is a whole market. And really, after making the switch, I cannot believe how inconvient it is for women! Every month stocking up, vacations and trips, half your suitcase full of these products! What a nightmare....thank god there is something so much better on the market for us! And for so cheap! It practically paid itself off after a few months. |

I am another Diva cup fan and wouldn't trade it for anything.
One of the ways in which I think it helps make your period "less" is that shoving bleached cotton up your vajayjay is just not good for you. I found my cramps decreased significantly after going to the Diva.
Additionally since there is no leakage, there is no need for paper pads. If you're nervous at first, you could use a cloth pad at night, but I don't anymore.
really, short of not having a period anymore, the Diva is the next best thing |

I second that; it really does help with the cramping as well. Like I repeatedly say, it does not even feel like you are on your period, which is fabulous. Talk about making it a non-issue anymore!
I usually use a luna pad (cloth) for the last day since I can`t be bothered to use the cup, which is fine, since there is hardly any spotting. It seriously has shortened my period by half, and others as well, so obviously pads and tampons DO make you bleed more thanks to the chemicals in there. Yuckies, I cannot believe I ever used that kaka.... |

I saw this on sale at the pharmacy and have to say, it made me feel squeamish! I can barely put in a "lite" tampon, so I can't imagine trying to insert the Diva cup.
Oh well, I don't have heavy periods (let's just say a regular size package of pads is a about a 1/2 yr supply for me) to begin with so it's probably not for me anyway.. I do think it's a good idea and great to not have tons of pads and tampons to throw away all the time for the ladies w/heavier or longer periods. |

Maiea, it really is no big deal. However, if it is not for you, maybe you should check out Luna pads, or something of that sort. I use it on my light days and its no biggie |

Though as a side note: prior to the Diva cup, I never could use tampons-it gave me the willies! But the diva cup is a different sensation (it feels like nothing), while tampons is the constant reminder. Strange as it is, don't judge it until you use it, since many first reactions are (including mine): its so big, looks uncomfortable, ew...etc. But really, after practicing a few times, it is no hassle and is way less gross than the other methods. |

I've tried to use the Diva cup for several cycles, but it never feels right/comfortable, and I can't seem to last for more than 3 or 4 hours with it in. I would love to be able to use Diva, but I don't know what to do different. |

Jeannine, I think it takes a few months for it to mold comfortably to your shape. Are you sure you are inserting it properly? The tip is supposed to poke out (just barely though), so it should not be so deep in. Do you shape it to a U and then insert it? It should not feel like anything, so I don`t think it is in right. |

Hi, Sangria1269. Yes, I fold it like a U. I've done everything the website recommends, and have read the forums and tried various posted tips. It still irritates me whenever I try to wear it. I give up for now, but thanks for offering advice.
