In the ongoing battle with trying to find skincare that makes my skin just feel normal instead of inflamed, I have stumbled upon using Osea Ocean Lotion as a facial moisturizer. I have tried the Advanced and the Atmospheric, but didn't feel like they gave enough moisture plus the citrus components in them seemed to irritate my skin a bit. The Ocean Lotion just sinks in and leaves my face soft and smooth and at about $30 USD for 6 oz., it is an incredible deal. For those who wanted to use Osea but didn't think it was working for them, I would strongly suggest giving this a try. |

Thanks for the tip!
I bought a bottle of this but thought it was so-so since I've been using H2O Rasberry Guava lotion for the past 8 years!! The ocean lotion sinks in but afterwards I don't feel "moisturized". Maybe it will work better as a thin layer on my face? |

This was a part of my Osea "sensitive skin" travel set, so in theory I imagine it's OK for sensitive skin! However, when I used it on my body, it made me break out in tiny KP-like red bumps, and they went away when I stopped using it. So I was too freaked out to try it on my face after that. |

I believe it is good for sensitive skin as it is thin (thicker creams can lock-in heat and make the face redder) and it is fragrance-free. For the past 2 and a half months, my face has been flaky, itchy in patches, red and irritated (thank you, Dr. Hauschka). I have been trying to use really natural, gentle products, but that usually means stuff with alcohol preservatives or essential oils which makes my skin go crazy. The Osea Ocean Lotion is both natural and fragrance-free and really seems to be helping with the flakiness, dryness and itching. It is light, however, so at night I usually put a little olive oil on top to seal everything in. As an aside, I use to be an advocate on not using any night cream, but my skin is in such bad shape right now that I have to.
HTH!

this is a great product that I recently started using again after many years. The other day I was gardening and totally sunburnt my entire back, due to the skin exposed from my top. The skin was bright red and inflamed to the point I was sure it would hurt to sleep on my back. I got my husband to put a lot of Ocean Lotion on the burn and it seemed to really help. The next day in the morning the same, and I had almost zero pain, no peeling, and now the burn is a lovely tan. This is a first for me, as my skin is very fair and usually does not tan, even after a burn. I am loving this product as a body lotion as well. Its silky, light, goes on easily and really moisturizes the skin leaving no strong smell. |
