I don't understand what's going on? I wash my face twice a day everyday, plus tone and moisturize. But I still get breakouts. If I'm washing my face and doing all the other stuff. Why is my face still breaking out. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks. |

My guess is your moisturizer. Many skincare products claim non-comedogenic, but in many cases the claim is not necessarily true. If you have acne-prone skin, you need to watch out for pore clogging ingredients - look at the ingredient lists to all the products you are currently using.
Which cleanser, toner, and moisturizer are you using? |

Acne can be caused by many things, like hormones messed up, stress, lack of nutritions etc etc. Maybe you are using products which aren't effective enough for your skin. It takes time to recover skin problems. A healthy way of life helps to improve the skin.
First check if the products you are using are good for you and be patient for the results to come.
Did you also had break-outs before you started to use your products or is it since you started to use?

Yep, that's right, there are various reasons to still getting breakouts. It could be your moisturizer. That also happened to me before. Or it could be hormonal imbalances or intake of pills like contraceptives that could affect the hormones.
Or it could be the cosmetics that you are using, especially if they are oil-based. Lack of sleep too can cause individuals to break-out. |

Yeah, as everyone already said, there could be many reasons for this. If it is product related, I would check to make sure that the moisturiser is not too rich for your skin type as well. Also, might be good to get an antibacterial cleanser or get something with AHAs in it (e.g. MD Formulations Glycolic Cleanser or something along those lines).
What are you currently using if you don't mind me asking?

I currently use L'oreal Ideal Balance Cleanser for combination skin, same brand for the toner, nivea visage simply glowing for a moisturizer, and sometimes I use aveeno daily scrub as an exfoliant.
I don't have acne but my face breaks out with a few pimples at a time, every time I get them to clear up a few more are starting to arise. I've tried quite a few different products but can't seem to have any luck. I would think after awhile I'd have to get something right?
Thanks to all who replied. |

Have any of the other products you have tried had AHAs in them? That might be helpful.
Btw, if you have used many different products chances are that you would have come across something that works for you. However, this is not so if you keep on choosing the wrong type of products for your skin though. So continually going for rich moisturisers, cleansing lotions instead of antibacterial cleansing gels etc.
