I have just found out my friend has Ring worm (it is a small coin sized patch on their arm) and they have used my washing sponge. they didn't tell me in time that they had the fungus and i had used the Sponge several times (i sure wish they would of told me). It has been about seven days and I have had no break outs. Should I still worry? (An i mean there is not a blemish that looks remotely like ring worm) |

i do not think that you should worry about it...the ringworm virus often exist in our environment...there is nothing you can do about right now but to change your sponge....if you see a ring worm...i would suggest you to buy clotrimazol or any other anifungal cream ...it should disapear in a week...good luck |

Yes, you've probably been exposed to it before and not even known. If you are a worry worl like me, but a Tea Tree based soap or body wash (Dr. Bronners is good) or even just Tea Tree oil. TEa Tree is a natural anti-fungal/anti-biotic topical treatment. |

Years ago I had a small patch of ringworm on my arm. Somehow my cat got ringworm, and in treating her, it spread to me. My doctor recommended an over-the-counter antifungal medication called Tinactin. It didn't take long to clear up. No side effects, and the skin returned to normal colour and texture really fast. |
