I ordered some DMAE to make katee's eye potion and breast firming gel, both home-made.
Then I saw this article

and many others if you google it.
Yikes!
Now I'm not so sure!
What do you think girls? |

Hmm, as the researcher said, more studies have to be done before making a final conclusion on DMAE. I think right now it's up to the individual if they want to keep using DMAE or not. It would also be helpful to have the original science article rather than a newspaper article so you can see what was actually done, and if the science behind the claim of "DMAE kills cells" is sound or not. (What if they say "DMAE kills cells" because they used it at 50% or something like that - you can't know this unless you read the original publication)
Personally, I can't use DMAE and I know of a few other people who can't use it. The DMAE salt makes my skin itch a bit, but the amine DMAE makes my face peel like mad...and the skin around my eyelids doesn't tolerate DMAE at all. When DMAE comes in contact w/eyelid skin, I get the opposite effect of what DMAE is supposed to do - my eyelids droop like crazy. |
