Here's my problem: I'm lazy when it comes to moisturising my body Anxious I pamper my face, and I do exfoliate my body, but getting me to moisturise it on a daily basis is just not possible. I have been using a spray on moisturiser (Emporio Armani She Body Lotion Spray, or something like that) and I really like it. After I shower and lightly dry off (skin still slightly damp) I step back into the shower and go happy with spraying the lotion all over. Then I step out and just let it dry. Voila - all done! Smile

But, the problem is that (a) this particular lotion is expensive, and (b) I rarely wear EA She perfume so the lotion clashes with other perfumes I wear.

Can someone PLEASE recommend a good spray-on lotion (or something liquid enough that I could pour into a spray bottle Embarassed )?

TIA

I use a spray bottle that is half distilled water, half aloe vera gel, and a teaspoon of glycerin. I spray it on my legs after I shave, and I love it! You can add a few drops of your favorite essential oil if you like (Lavander, etc), but be sure to shake it up well before you spray.

I've found that both the Garnier and Loreal spray body moisturisers are quite suitable, believe it or not.

Being that I make a habit of moisturising my body at least twice daily, I need something easy! (and I'm lazy also).

and the best bit, is that they're cheap! (more money to spend on other things!!)

(If you don't do it already, I highly recommend moisturising before bed - your bedmates will appreciate it! Embarassed )

Hi Mabsy!

Pevonia has a Dry Oil Body Spray that has a very light scent. I searched on EDS and they don't carry it. Sad

Pevonia's description from their website is:
"Perfect for restoring skin moisture and elasticity, this dry oil contains Vitamin A, E and D along with Squalane, Aloe and other oils. Skin is left silky without greasy residue. Use after shower or bath."

They have a distributor in Australia. The website is: www.pevonia.com.au

I'm lazy when it comes to taking care of my body, too. Embarassed

Price wise, I'm not sure how much it would cost to purchase it where you are. Good luck and I hope you find a good replacement whatever you decide on. Smile

I use a body wash that is rich in plant oils. I find that I don't need a moisturizer when I'm done. I'm super busy so this is great for me. The one I use is by Primavera, the only place I know to get it on:

http://www.saffronrouge.com/s.nl/c.ACCT116870/sc.10/category.690/.f

I especially love the Bodyline Shower Scrub, it's exfoliating and moisturizing.

I've never seen Primavera in a shop. I first found Primavera in Germany 9 years ago and have been addicted ever since. Their bath oils are ultra moisturizing as well.

Oooo! Thanks for all your responses! I didn't think there would be any to be honest...

I do use moisturising body washes but they just don't cut it in winter and in the current dry weather in Australia.

I love the DYI idea, especially since you can add whatever oils you like. But alas, it required me to get too many ingredients (which I don't currently have) so it's been placed on the backburner for a while.

The only Pevonia one I could find was the "DRY OIL BODY MOISTURIZER". Is this the one? I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing 'coz it doesn't clarify whether it's a pump or a spray. And I looked in the shops but could not find Natusan here at all Neutral

BUT, I did go into Kmart on the way home from work and picked up... well... perhaps a few too many bottles of spray moisturiser.

I forgot to check out the L'Oreal but got a bottle of the Garnier Toning Moisture Mist (150mL) on sale for Au$7.90, a bottle of the Garnier Express Moisture Spray (150mL) on sale for Au$7.90, three bottles of Nivea Ocean Mist Moitsurising Body Spray (150mL) on sale for Au$4.05, and a bottle of the "regular" Nivea Moisturising Body Spray (150mL). There was also a some sort of a Nivea Aromatherapy Moisturising Mist but they only had a tester left.

Ok, so I now have 900mL of moisturising body spray stuff. That'll keep me occupied for a while Very Happy Perhaps I might try to make some next time though - I'll have heaps of empty bottles to put the stuff in Laughing

Thanks for all your suggestions, much appreciated!

To be honest I'm a really lazy sod when it comes to my body as well!

I use L'Occitane soap and also L'Occitane bath/shower creme. I dont find that I need to use a body moisturiser using this range. I can just about manage to slap on a bit of Gatineau firming body cream on the tops of my arms!

OK, this should beat everyone's lazy streak!
Oil Of Olay has a new moisturizer that you are supposed to apply in the shower, after washing, you then lightly rinse off & it leaves a nice film, kind of like leave in hair conditioner. I especially like to squeeze the bottle over my upper back shoulders & let the shower spray distribute down my back - so quick & easy & pretty inexpensive!

Hi MAsby!!

For a minute there I thought I was the only odd gal out as I too am waaay to lazy to moisturize after showers. After standing there in the bathroom, applying a million and one lotions on to the face, plucking eyebrows + underarms, towel drying and THEN blow drying straight my hair, the LAST thing I want to do is to spend MORE time lathering lotion on myself.

The only thing that gets me moisturizing is yummy smelling body lotions that go on and get absorbed really well.

I've discovered BeneTint's Bathina which fits the above criteria and trust me, you will WANT to moisturize even if you are running late!! The downside is it's rather expensive, something like A$50 (boyfriend for it for me)

THe other method is to buy small bottles of moisturizers and keep yourself interested by the variety. After accomplishing the unimaginable which is actually finishing the lotion, you can look forward to getting a brand new bottle which you will undoubtly look forward to slather on yourself! Smile

I use Emu Oil. Love it!!! You can mix it in with your favorite soap cleanser, add to body lotions. I even add a little to my shampoo bottle. Emu Oil is not expensive and has hundreds of uses. Emu Oil penetrates several skin layers. I have been using it for several months. My problem area was my elbows. No more. I even put Emu Oil on my face 15 minutes or so before I cleanse. Try it. You really can't go wrong. I bought 16 oz. for 18.00.

Hi Mabsy! wave

That's the one! It is a spray. If you have very dry skin on the legs like me Embarassed, you may need something more moisturizing. It works well enough on the rest of my body.

Hope your most recent purchases deliver what you are looking for. Smile

Shock I'm definitely trying that Oil of Olay stuff when (if) it comes out here. That's the ultimate in laziness! Smile

WhiteLotus - I've just recently discovered that I like dry oil sprays (I tried the Sothys one) so I'll give this a go eventually. Does it have a strong scent?

Celine - I didn't even think of this one! I haven't tried it but for some reason I get the feeling that it does have a scent that lingers around for a while. I'm tryig to stay away from that as it all then clashes with my perfume.

I've started using the Nivea spray and it's pretty good. You can even use it upside down! Shock I mean the bottle, not when YOU are upside down... though that would work too... Smile

I bought mine at Wal-Mart - it's called
Oil of Olay Moisturinse - cute play on words - don't remember what I paid, but it wasn't much.
It is the ultimate for laziness - I did have to laugh when I saw that!

Mabsy, the scent for Pevonia is not too strong at all. After reading your post, now I want to try Sothy's.

. . . and my face & body product "basket" continues to grow along with my wish list. Embarassed Laughing
