I would love to know if any of you have tried this or know someone who has - I am considering it.
Thanks! |

I know several people who've done it and are glad they did. Someone posted the site of the person who did theirs, I think it was Mountaingirl. You might try pm'ing her. |

haven't experienced getting it done, but
the obvious risk is that u can get an infection
(under inexpert hands) or become sensitized to it. patch tests for sensitivity can be done first at the saloon I believe. |

I had it done 11 years ago and sort of regret it. It was meant to be just between the lashes and I was told it would last 5 years.
My technican did'nt do it just between she did a line. A great and even line but it is very obvious and it faded to a blue colour which does not enchance my green eyes.
I cover every day and apply my own liner.
Please check your technican and the inks they use is my advise. |

Hey there...yes, I've had it done...top and bottom eyeliner. I LOVE IT!! I have had numerous sessions gradually increasing the thickness, but it is still not heavy at all. I used to feel like I didn't have any eyes when I removed my eye makeup, now they are defined and still there when the makeup is off. Personally it is one of the best investments I've ever made. I do think it is very important to find a reputable and talented artist and do a little at a time. Here is a link to the one I went to. She does have some before and after photo's on there. (none of me)

I had permanent eyeliner done about three years ago, and I love it. I had lash enhancement, it's mostly just between the lashes. My experience was similar to mountailgirl, how she had it done gradually, that seems to be very important so it doesn't look too harsh. Mine hasn't faded yet, but I've heard of peoples turning blue, I guess it depends on what kind of pigment they use.
Good luck |

Mine is also considered a "lash enhancement." The bottom "liner" does tend to fade, (from a dark brown to a lighter shade of brown) probably because my Retin A bleaches it out. On most days I usually go over the top and bottom with my liner pencil to make it a little bolder. |

I have been told to avoid getting black permanent liners and stick with dark brown since black almost always fades to blue. |

My Aunt who is 78, just had her upper lids done last year. Before that she had her eyebrows done. Looks nice. I was amazed. She said it wasn't to bad getting her eyelids done. Linder |

My mother and all my aunts did it too. I think the pigment that was used on them was nicer because it was black and turned brown which doesn't look all that bad. They are SO glad they did it too because it really does save a lot of time in the morning.
They had both their upper and lower lids done AND their eyebrows! Lol!
You really have to do your research though and get someone whom you've seen the end result do it for you because not everyone does it well. |

They usually put a topical numbing agent on the area. Personally, I did not find it painful...and barely could say it was uncomfortable. I was really surprised about that. It feels a little like fluttering bristles. I've had FAR more painful procedures, restylane or collagen in the lips for example, is WAAAAAAAY more painful! |

The woman who did mine kept saying how it wasn't painful at all and I would barely feel it and I have a pretty high pain tolerance, although I'm a bit iffy about people's fingers in my eyes. She used a numbing cream, so I though it would be a piece of cake, but I found it surprisingly painful and she made me feel like I was being a baby. It wasn't so bad that I would never have it done again, it was just worse than I had expected, maybe if you go in expecting some pain it won't be so bad. Hope I didn't scare anyone away. |

OH MY!! That must have been horrible. I remember the sound the tool made was awful too, it sounded like velcro being repeatedly opened really quickly. |

My youngest sister had it done four years ago. I think it looks a bit harsh, but she's quite happy with it. To each their own, I say. |

I should say that they were SUPPOSED to use an anesthetic but because of the price of that particular one (its different from the normal skin anesthetic because it is used on the eye area) they just didnt use it!
yikes! : |
