Hi
Can anyone tell me how long most skincare creams last for.
I have a tube of Beta Alistine eyecream thats about 3 yrs old. Im wondering if the actives in it would still be well 'active'
There's a 1/4 left and ive been using it the past week.
There was no use by date on the bottle - it was probably on the box, which ive thrown of course.
Thanks |

I think it depends on the brands and what ingredients in there.
In general, for products that are opened, you'd better finish them in a year.
For products that have not opened, they could last for 3 years. But you might not know how long they were kept in warehouse before you bought them!
Thus, if I doubted the products might be expired, I used it for my hands, instead of my face. |

such a good question! I was thinking the same thing. I have PSF products that are almost over 2 years old! |

Carol, i would toss the eye cream. I wouldn't use a questionable product so near the eyes!
I agree that products usually sit around a little unless you buy them straight from a formulator. Unfortunately a lot of products don't state a manufacturing or expiration date. |

I ended up emailing Beta Alistine. They said it has a shelf life of 3 yrs so guess its at its use by date now. |

It depends on different products and brands! But i heard someone told me that the bottle was written the signal, like 6M or 12M, 18M. That's meaning you should use up that product in 6 months or 12 months, 12 months. |
