Hey! Im trying to figure out whether or not the fact that I have lots (and lots!) of horrible stubbourn blackheads (and big pores) means that I have oily skin? The problem is that I wouldnt say I have particularly shiney skin, and I can sometimes get dry irritated patches. But overall my problem is blackheads, what do they mean?? |

black heads usually mean you either have oily or combination skin. most people have the latter. they're black because of the oxidation process. blackheads are caused when oil gets trapped in the pores by grease or dirt. When this 'plug' comes into contact with the air it turns black. |

, normally blackheads and milia are a sign of dryness. It means that the oil glands are producing oil, but getting congested and not working properly to purge waste.hth |

geniusly put! I wish I had know this years ago!
Adding oils to my regime and treating it as dehydrated actually cleared up my skin recently. It was so hard to accept that my skin was DRY when it was a greasebucket. Totally counterintuitive but totally the right move. |

Interesting...I am continuously battling the blackheads on my nose. I'm using Decleor's Ylang Ylang oil and really like it for my face (it feels so soft after) but the blackheads are still there. Any other suggestions? |

What is the oil cleansing method? I mainly just have blackheads on my nose, although I do seem to have larger pores on the sides of my nose. Will this oil cleansing method also reduce the size of my pores in that area? I dont have bigger pores all over, just in the area below my eyes-like on the sides of my nose. (Its kind of funny how I cant think of how to describe that area now that Im trying!) |

Thanks for the tip, hopeful. I will give the micro cloth a try. I certainly have heard a lot of raves for it lately. |

Seaera, the balms did the trick for me (in my case, the Essential Balm), and adding the micro cloth will really help exfoliate. |

Does Emu oil count for a cleansing oil or is it just a treatment, moisturizing oil? |

Hey thanks for all the replys . You mention a micro cloth that you really like, what does ncn stand for? Am tempted by OCM (love the idea of actually seeing the plugs come out!), but really dont think it would suit my skin in the long term. Is it something that you could do once a week? Ive never heard of copper peptides, what do they do? |

I feel kind of silly asking, but where can you buy jojoba oil and grapeseed oil? |

Also, Im eager to try this method, but what should I do about the size of my pores in the areas that I now have blackheads? Is there something I can do after doing the OCM to reduce the size of my newly cleaned pores?
****And how would you incorporate this method into your normal skin care routine? |

Jojoba oil and grapeseed oil can be had from any health food store and many drug stores -- some supermarkets too. |

castor oil is great to add to the mix, it helps unclog pores and into helps pores appear smaller, i do 50% castor
30% jojoba
20% grapeseed

once your pores are clean I'm guessing your skin will already look a lot more refined.
you really can't change the size of your pores, all you can do is keep em clean, keep the edges from being scarred/torn. |
