In the search for the Preo Pro Curl, I encountered two eyelash curler styles I have never before seen.

Anyone familiar with these?

Why yes, hilda, I *like* my eye tools to look like dental tools.

Could there be a more generic name?

Anyway, I will continue my Pro Curl search and if hopeless may return to these two to try. I'd love to hear feedback if anyone has tried these.

Wow, that's some eyelash curler!! What was even more interesting, though, is the "knot free" false eyelashes offered. Anybody here having trouble with knots getting in their lashes?? Let us know how you get on with the curler...

The shapes are so funny!
But since I get used to tradional curler, I won't try these! They are quite expensive.

LOL, knotfree falsies are great!

the knot refers to the base where the individual lashes are joined together in a bunch. On the non-knot-free, each bundle of lashes ends in a small lump giving a dotted appearance to the lashline.

The knot-free lashes do not have this lump so they appear more natural.

not only am i attached to the traditional eye-lash curler, i'm also totally attached to the knots on individual false eyelashes! i am sure theyare an improvement, but oh well!

whoa backup there Ms avalange . . . which traditional eyelash curler?

not that all of us asians have the same eyes, but which one works for you? I get the worst pinchies and right angles with the Shu & Revlon cage styles.

hmmm, do I distrust you since you like knots or love you since you turned me on to Osea, LOL?

WOW thanks for those links k!(orangewasabe) !! love the name btw!!! Very Happy The Lady Wink one looks like it's used 'syringe' style, which is pretty nifty, haven't seen that before. Have you gotten your hands on the Preo Curler? It's the one that looks similar to a tweezer on the link....and I didn't know Japanese had short eyelashes!? Shock They always look damn gorgeously long and luscious to me!

I agree that not all Asian eyes are made the same. It's amazing when you think about it, considering we're basically the same race...we range from deepset, almond shaped to being quite hooded with very tiny lids. Smile I personally prefer the traditional clamp style, metal eyelash curlers too. My absolute favourite is the Shiseido curler (over the Shu).

There's a long running thread in the Products Reviews forum where lots of discussion is happening over quite a LOT of different types of eyelash curlers. Very Happy check it out !

hi k!!
you love me, you love me!

sorry!
have you tried tarte's eyelash curler? i think it is better than shu. it it easier on the eyelid and grabs all lashes really well. i also once tried the model co's heated eyelash curler--it was more trouble than it's worth. i certainly did not mean to imply any sort of occidental superiority with my remarks...
just was using the opprtunity to poke fun at my crotchety attachments to old school stuff... i like the knotted ones, i don't know, because they require you to pile on loads of eyeliner and become bardot-esque. i would never wear falsies unless i wanted to elevate the drama! Smile
