In a previous post I mentioned that I have a hard time finding great products because I never know if they are actually really good or just a bunch of hype. I love this forum because it gives me a chance to find out from actual people who have used it, what it is really like. La Prairie and Sonya Dakar are products that seem to be popular, especially with some celebs and to me, they are relativly expensive. Has anyone tried any of these products? Are they really good product lines or just a bunch of hype? |

I've tried samples of La Prairie and have either been allergic or not impressed. I've gone to Sonya Dakar's spa, been treated by her, and bought the whole regime and was quite disappointed.
I have sensitive Asian skin so everyone will have a different experience. I do remember observing other clients in the waiting room and not seeing many having visible results for things like acne or redness. |

I've used some of Sonya Dakar line when I had oily, problematic skin. Omega 3 oil really worked and I do support her husband's theory. I really love the acne version because the lavender help calm my skin a bit. So did my Vivier vitamin C.
I also really liked Green Tea mask and used it once in awhile, when my skin got red patches from breakouts.
I don't use this line anymore because it was difficult or too expensive to get it shipped to me. Personally, I did not find Sonya Dakar expensive because the Omega 3 oil lasted 3 months with one application per day.
I am now using Cellcosmet and find that this high concentrated line is very luxurious.
I've also tied Kate Somerville and found it to be another good line, but somehow I'm hooked on Cellcosmet. I do purchase KIAJ on regular basis and use it about once a week now. |

I tried a lot of La Prairie's products. Honestly, I did not see obvious improvements! |

Good to know! I don't mind spending alot of money on skin care as long as it works and you can see results! Maybe in this case, another line would be better. Thanks! |
