| Has anyone ever tried using colloidal silver topically for bruising? My mom got some from a European friend and saw immediate results on a large, old bruise that just wouldn't go away. (Doctor already checked and said it's nothing to worry about - it'll go away in due time). When she purchased some for herself in the US she obtained no results. In looking closer, the European version contained 2,000 ppm while the US version was very low - like 50 ppm. In researching colloidal silver, the only info I can find is when it is taken internally and of course, 2,000 ppm is way too much! Anyone ever tried it topically and if so, what dosage and what were your results? Thanks! |

| I only know that silver is naturally slightly antibacterial. Have never heard of it being used for bruising....Learn something new everyday. |

I use a 100 ppm. There is alot of variation in what people tell you is best to use. This is kind of middle ground (100 ppm)I am very impressed with the results. (I've been applying this topically to a duck's wound and I got very quick results in a situation that looked untreatable.)

Interesting! My eye creme contains colliodal silver - and it fades away dark circles under the eyes. I didn't know it was to treat bruises, I knew about the antibacterial properties as well, and also that it stimulates collagen production in the skin. You really do learn something new every day!

| I'm not sure about it for bruising, but, from what I recall, the Dr Hauschka Rhythmic Night Conditioner contains colloidal silver as well. |

Hehe, sorry if I sound ignorant, but I haven't heard about collodial silver before. Can it lighten scars, if it can lighten under-eye circles? Again, sorry if I sound stupid, lol.  |

In the US, companies that sell cs cannot claim benefits so it's necessary to do some research to find out its application.
From my experience, it's been an amazing wound healer and has calmed down skin irritation.
The property that most people agree on is an antibacterial & possibly antviral action.
As to dark circles and scar lightening, I don't
know.hth |
